Greetings,
At A Glance Author scotty B. Contact triptechb@yahoo.com When Six months ago Artist Shane Gross Studio Holier Than Thou Location Wichita, Kansas I have an intense love for body modification and desire to eventually move to suspension. Getting an apadravya was just another step on that road. I hope those of you experienced and interested in body modification find what I have to tell at least half as interesting as it was for me to go through.
On my way to suspension I have tried to get piercings involving higher levels of pain. The first one I had done mostly for this reason was a 10g septum piercing, which frankly did not hurt at all. After watching a movie called strangeland I decided I wanted an ampalang... or so I thought. After some research, most of it done here on BME, I realized that an ampalang might not be the best bet if I wanted my wife to have sex with me more than once after getting it done. But alas I still wanted to go through the extremity of getting a glans style piercing. I found what I was looking for, the apadravya. All the extremity of an ampalang but without the risk of potential discomfort if not damage to the most sensitive areas of my beloved.
I contemplated the piercing for about two years before I actually made the appointment, alteration of ones penis is not to be taken lightly. Within that time I decided if I was going to get it done I was going to go heavy gage. 8g was the largest I was going to be able to get it done at, so 8g it was. The day had come to get my apadravya done. The owner and head piercer of Holier Than Thou, Shane Gross, a piercer and shop which i have been going to since my first body piercing in 1997 was to do the job.
After filling out the usual paperwork we began discussing what was going to be done that day. The appointment was to get the piercing done at an 8g but Shane expressed her concern that she might prefer to do the piercing at a 10g instead if the 8. She explained that an 8g needle produces more of a slit than a round hole which can cause problems. The final decision was to be hers at the time of prep work.
After much scrubbing with the most god awful rough gauze I have ever encountered, some poking, pinching and prodding she decided she was willing to do it at an 8. I promptly agreed, something I would almost regret once I saw the size of the needle.
As I sat with my penis shriveled in terror at the coming event my, piercer turned around with the biggest damn needle I have ever seen in my life. Thats when I really wanted to eat the words "lets do it" when she said she could do the piercing at an 8g. But, no turning back now. I was as focused as I have ever been. My senses electrified, she began.
Her feet planted wide, needle in hand, she had me start the slow steady rhythmic breathing I have come to know quite well from previous piercings. "Take a deep breath in through your nose and let it out your mouth.......O.K., one more time". On the exhale she started the insertion. I was as prepared as I was going to be, but it still ended up feeling like it was not enough. It was possibly the most painful thing I have ever felt. It took everything I had to keep focused, doing my best to feel the cold steel pass through and to push out the irrational pain your body tries to force on you to alert you to damage of the flesh.
The needle was through. The only visible reactions I gave, were briefly clenched fists and a pale face. I took it like a champ. The barbell was inserted, an 8g 1 ¼ inch long with 3/8 inch balls.
Bleeding was surprisingly minimal, to both me and Shane. Now weather that was due to a cold room or if you really can focus blood out of an area like some claim is still up to further experience. In any event it stopped completely within about 18-24 hours, no sanitary napkins for me.
Today I proudly wear a 6g 1 inch long soon to be a 4g 1 in.long (I'm waiting on the barbell to come in on special order). The experience, pain and all, is something I will always cherish. My pride in my apadravya is reinforced with each stretching.
This is for those with silly questions and comments; No I was not high on anything, no she did not numb it (that would defeat almost all the purpose of such an experience) and yes I do have it on video, I can prove that I did indeed "take it like a champ".
Thank you for your time,
I hope you enjoyed the read.
