It was August 10th. My buddy had just gotten married the day before. I was a groomsmen and to me, the whole thing was way too scary of an experience for me. I had to do something crazy to express my freedom. Why not get my dick pierced?

Ok, so maybe my train of thought is slightly different than most, but probably similar to those of you reading this article. I had gotten my cartilage pierced and both lobes in my ear, but nothing body done before (as I write this I am anxious about getting my nipples done tomorrow though). The male genital piercings all interested me and I felt a need to get one. I had done some research on them trying to find the pros and cons. The kama sutra thing was definitely cool, and i deal well with pain so I figured I'd be alright.

As a teacher, I am limited on what I can and cannot get pierced. I've had many people tell me I should get my labret or eyebrow done, but unfortunately society isn't quite ready for teachers with piercings. So I decided to sneak one by society and get something genital. After several weeks or researching risks, personal experiences, benefits and of course, the pain factor, I decided to get an apadravya.

Piercology just seemed like the most professional Ohio piercer. I wasn't really all that nervous about it, and when we got there I was actually told I would have to make an appointment. However, since the guys and gals there are the coolest in the world, I told them I drove three hours and Pat actually agreed to come in on his day off. My bad for not doing the easier research, like will someone be there who can do it? Pat was the coolest guy in the world. I figured it would be the most awkward situation of my life, but it really wasn't. Pat just talked me through it and let me know what to expect and what to do. When I saw the needle, yea, thats when I got nervous. Good thing he had shut the door or I might have just run out, haha. He prepped me and all and then it was time. Breathe in (nothing), breathe out (nothing), breathe in (nothing), breathe out slowly (OH MY GOD SWEET SASSY MOLASSY OWWWWWWWWWW). Well, actually, it was only about 2-3 seconds of the greatest pain of my life, but then it was over, so I guess I didn't really have time to say all that. I did scare the crap out of some poor girl who was getting pierced next door when I screamed though, sorry bout that if you read this.

Afterwards, I did get a little pale in the face and felt kinda woozy and once again Pat was right on top of things. He quickly knew what to do and had me lay down, legs up, ice pack under the neck. I slowly felt blood circulate back to the parts of my body where it had left to deliver emergency assistance down south. When I felt good, I got up, walked out, did all the final paperwork. I did have a funny moment when I walked out because I had bought a pack of m&m's anticipating needing sugar in my blood for the 3 hour drive home. My buddy immediately handed them to me after I walked out and after filling out the paperwork I asked him for them. Everyone laughed and thats when I realized I should have my buddy drive home. I felt good, but the body and mind weren't on the same page just yet. Anyone considering the apadravya, get it, its not that bad.

I love having it now. Its great. Every day things are awesome. Sometimes I will stand up after sitting down and it will brush just the right way and its an amazing sensation. I am not the greatest player type guy in the world, but I have seen an increase in action as a result of my new addition, it makes an incredible conversation piece and then leads to fun evenings. I have gotten many rave reviews about the feelin from females which is not surprising given the kama sutra origins of the piercing.

I have had little or no irritation or infections, so I can't help out there, but I do know if I were considering the piercing I would definitely get it if I were you again. Its something I am very glad that I got, both as a form of self-expression and a testament to myself about my ability to handle an amazing amount of temporary pain.

So at this point I would just like to throw a shout-out to the people at piercology for being the most clean, professional, caring, and awesome piercing parlor. The staff is amazing and if you're ever in Ohio, you need to stop in at the shop even if you're not getting something pierced because its so damn cool. Peace.
