I have considered getting an apadravya for awhile now. Just the look and the concept of it is the most appealing to me of any genital male piercing. So I decide to get it done yesterday on Valentines Day. There is a certain symbolism to it that is just too perfect for the occasion.

My girlfriend, whom I started dating just a few days ago, was all into me getting it done. She suggested maybe that I wait till today instead, but I had already scheduled an appointment at 6pm with Dana and I never back out of anything, so I was set and determined to do it.

Waiting for 6pm was killer... I have 4 classes and I work to deal with before my appointment. My first class I had a quiz, which wasn't too bad. In the second class we watched some bad movie about business and marketing. My third class was just a meeting for us to prepare for managing the plays in the theater this semester. My fourth class didn't happen... the teacher didn't show. Then I worked backstage in the theater for 2 hours. After doing all that, I convince my friend John to drive me up and back to Alchemistress so I don't have to walk back home with my new mod.

Upon arriving, it turns out that Dana had stepped out for awhile. So I talk to Chris (the tattoo artist), showing him the tat that he had done on me a few weeks before and how it was healing. Then me and John talked for awhile about how it's gonna suck playing volleyball next Tuesday and whatnot...

About a half hour later, Dana's next appointment walks in the door, and there's no sign of her still. So I relax and start reading some magazines, figuring that if she doesn't arrive in another half hour, I'd just head back home. Sure enough, about twenty minutes later she walks in the door. Quickly putting away her groceries, she asks if I don't mind waiting for her to serve the other customer first, who was just getting a tongue piercing. I said that it was fine, but John had to be to work at eight, which was in an hour.

She nods and begins to prep for the tongue piercing, so I continue reading the magazine and mentally prepare myself for a needle through my penis... it's kind of a scary thought if you think about it.

What seemed like an eternity later, Dana comes out of the studio and gives the other customer aftercare instructions, then sends them on their way. Another 15 minutes later, she asks me to step inside the studio...

She instructs me to take off my pants and lay down in the reclining chair. I casually do so, but while I was unbuttoning my pants, my button fell off! Hmm... bad omen or just a coincidence? Either way, I was ready to go. (Let me mention this... belonging to BME and IAM has given me access to any procedure I could ever want to know about, so I have full knowledge of everything that is about to happen to me. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad; I kind of like to be oblivious sometimes...)

So I lay on the chair and she puts a sterile pad with a hole cut out of it on my lap so my penis is isolated, and she makes the initial mark, which is a bit farther back than normal because of a vein. After agreeing with placement, I lay back and stare at the ceiling, feeling her preparing to pierce me. I begin to breathe in deeply and slowly, preparing myself as I do for every piercing. I set my mind in a neutral zone, almost forgetting where I am. And she suddenly she asks if I'm ready. I nod and breathe in deep, knowing that she would go as I exhale...

As I exhaled, I felt the needle pierce through. It felt like any other piercing until she continued through the head. As the needle exited, my legs twitched for a split second and I felt a zing go through my whole body. It was a bit painful, but not terribly so. After that I felt nothing, even when she put the jewelry in.

Taking a moment to relax, she asks if she can take a picture. I figure sure... I'll probably post pictures on BME eventually anyway.

When done I stand up, feeling as fine as ever. Dana congratulates me on taking it so smoothly and not bleeding. I congratulate her for piercing me so accurately. Then I pay, get aftercare instructions, and head out immediately so John can go to work.

It's the next morning right now... and my new piercing has turned out to be quite the bleeder. It's strange to think I had the guy version of a period or something. I love my new piercing though, and I can't wait until it heals!
