What Next???????

So I got the frenum ladder going and was wondering what I could do next. Jumped on the BME site and looked at a bunch or different piercings for awhile and finally decided on an Apadravya.

So being the compulsive type of person that I am, I got down to Holey Rollers in Colorado Springs. I spoke to Marcea (who has done almost all of my piercings) and discussed what I wanted to do. Being a bit of a wuss, one of my first questions was about the pain. She had told me she had done one on her husband (also a piercing artist) and that he had felt some discomfort but lived through it. Marcea said that it would probably be best done in a 2 step process and that if done this way the pain is reduced and the healing time is a lot shorter. First she recommended that we do a traditional PA, let that heal for a month or so and then complete the Apadravya by piercing through the PA and going through to the head of the penis.

Well she took me back to the piercing room which is just as clean if not cleaner than most hospital rooms had checked to see if an Apadravya would work for me. As usual before getting on table she wiped it down with disinfectant and must have changed gloves at least 3 times by now. Marcea had already brought a few pieces of jewelry back to make sure she had the appropriate sized stuff there when it was needed. I jumped up on the table, started to psych myself out for what I thought was going to be one of the most painful things in the world. She marked the area for the needle to go through, gave me some aromatherapy and had me start taking deep breaths. Well I wasn't to keen on the idea of having something placed inside my penis, but she placed something that looked like a taper inside me to "catch the needle" when she pierced. She lubed it up and placed the piece of equipment inside me.......as for pain, it wasn't painful but did kinda take your breath away. As I was getting us e to the strange feeling of having something in my urethra she pierced me from the underside and the next thing she said was that she was placing the jewelry. I never even felt the needle. Ha one down one to go!!!! Marcea said to let it heal for about a month or so and then we could see about finishing the Apadravya.

30 days to almost the minute I show up at Holey Rollers for the completion of my Apadravya. Again Marcea takes me into the backroom, cleans the table, and again goes through about a dozen gloves. I jump up on the table, she checks the piercing and says it is healing well. There is some room around the piercing, but she isn't sure it's enough to run the taper through comfortably. She suggests we stretch the piercing and if that isn't to bad maybe we can complete the Apadravya. If not we'll put a bigger piece of jewelry in and stretch it for a few weeks and come try it again. Well the stretching did hurt some, about a 5 on a 1-10 scale. So I'm coming back.

It's been about 2 maybe 3 weeks sine we stretched the piercing. I'm back and we are headed to the piercing room. Again the place is cleaner then the hospitals I go in and out of (for professional reasons). I jump up on the table, Marcea has already gone through 2 pairs of gloves. She has all her equipment laid out along with a couple of different sized barbells. She checks the piercing and again states it is healing well. She asked about the amount of bleeding when she did the PA and I told her there was almost none. Nothing like some of the stories I've read on BME. Well I lay back, use some aromatherapy and start taking deep breaths. Every muscle in my body is tense, I probably could have cracked walnuts between my butt cheeks they were so tense. Marcea tells me what is gonna happen as she cleans the area to be pierced. She can see the anxiousness in my face. She takes out my PA and places a hollow taper in place of it. She tells me she will run the needle up through the h ollow taper so as not to nick the PA piercing and she will then advance it through the area to be pierced. She has me put my hands behind my head, so that I won't grab her arm. I ask her to give me a minute as I try and get ahold of all the energy and fear running through my body. So she leaves the taper in place and starts taking to me and trying to ease my anxiety. As we are talking I wasn't really paying attention to what she was doing or where she was looking. Next thing I knew, I felt a slight pinch and I do mean a very slight pinch and she said that she was running the jewelry through it and we were done. Immediately after the piercing there was no bleeding, swelling or pain. Marcea said these have a tendency to bleed a fair amount and that there will probably be some swelling. Well it's been three days and there has been NO pain, NO swelling and the only blood I've seen is a small amount in my urine and that's only occasionally.

Now only true professionals can make what is reported to be one of the most intense and painful piercings practically pain free. I have referred many friends to Holey Rollers because of my high opinion of them and all of them have come back to me telling me what a great shop it is and what a high work ethic Toast and Marcea have. Many of them said that when their kids are old enough to get pierced that's where they'd want them to go. 5 star recommendation
