Hello, I am 24 years old, and have a total of 4 piercing. Ear, nipple, and 2 in my genitals . A Dydoe, and an Apadravya. The ear was done with a gun, and I don't wear it anymore, the other 2 (aside from the Apadravya) was done by me. Now when I went into the Studio to do the Apadravya I hade some preconceptions about what it will feel like. When I did my first piercing, I use a standard sewing needle, and some Ice, and slowly pushed it through My nipple, This hurt, but not very much, It took forever though. When I pierced my Dydoe I did it with a 14g needle I took from the Lab I was currently working at. The hardest part of both the piercing I did myself was getting the Jewelry in.

Now I had thought about getting a "real" genital piercing, as the Dydoe was to shallow, and to small of gauge (it pinched), but I couldn't decide IF I was ready to let someone else do it. I was always a little Trepidations when it comes to strangers and needles, and to let someone pierce me both excited me, and scared the hell out of me. Consequently I had always put it off with an Ill get it later.. or when I am Single.. or when I have more money. I kept trying to find reasons not to do it, even though I fantasized about doing it for a while. This all Changed when my Girlfriend at the time confessed to me she had always wanted her clit pierced. I was flabbergasted, as all my previous girlfriends were like "HELL NO" so I encouraged her to follow her Ideas and do it. Now I also wanted mine done, but still Had little nagging feelings about it, but she was the first person who I could talk to about this, that I knew. Had her experience wasn't bad.. she like the piercer. And we ll when we broke up, I decided my excuses were over.
I had called the studio, and found out how much it was, and what it entailed, and one night went over and said lets get it done. I talked with the Piercer, and said she didn't have the right jewelry. I needed at least a 1" and they didn't have it, but a studio don't he street did. At this moment I was resolved, I went to the other studio, bought the jewelry, and came back to the original one, and showed them, the 1" 12g barbell. So she took me into the back room, and I dropped my pants, and she marked and measured, and at that moment she said I had bought the wrong one. I had a 1" 12g, and she said at LEAST 1" 12g, With swelling, And the increase in size with erection she recommended a 1 ¼" My response was.. "ok you are the professional" at this time she also told me to just get it pierced at the other shop, and that they were very good, and the Piercer had 6 years of experience, when she only had 2, So I had nothing to worry about. So I went to the other shop.
At the other shop, it was more devoted to primal Stuff, It had the artwork on the walls, and displayed the "natural" Piercing Jewelry, and I told them what I wanted, and what jewelry I thought would be good, but I also said I wanted their recommendations. While I waited the Piercer gave me his book to look through, and what I saw good.
The Moment of Truth: agreed that it's a corny start, but it's a good way to say the preliminary's are all done.
I went in, took off my pants and shoe's, and sat down on what appeared to be a doctors table. Complete with the paper and everything. As I was preparing.. he was going over what will happen, and reassuring me. He asked me if this was my first time, and I told him it was the first professional one, and probably the biggest one. He had me sit done facing him, while he was on a stool, and put my feet on his knees, which I thought was weird, but he explained he could better feel what I was doing, and how I was feeling. At this time he cleaned me off, and Marked where he thought it should be and asked if this was ok. I looked at and said would be fine. He then put the forceps on, and clamped them down.. this didn't hurt at all, as it was a little cold in the room, and I was scared enough, that most the blood flow was gone from that area. HE then told me to breath in and out very deep three times, and then he would pierce it. Well He pierced it on the second one, and my response was "Holy Mother of GOD" When I pierced myself, It Pinched a little, but this was out and out PAIN!. but then it was gone.. But the adrenaline was kicking in, and I had to lay back a second... He asked if I wanted to just stay on my back as he put the jewelry in, I said ok, and MY blood was pumping, and I had ALL kinds of adrenalin in me.. He told me the rest of the procedure wouldn't hurt, and he was right.. didn't feel much at all, got to love that natural anesthetic. After that he put some non stick gauze around it, and a glove and sent me on my way.. it was done.
The aftercare. Not much special happened.. I asked what type of underwear to wear, and was told tight, as it wont catch if I do. I didn't have any trouble walking or anything like that. I had to wash it in Sea salt twice a day, no big deal. The only draw back I have found is that I have a tendency to leak now, but from what I have seen that is normal, and can be fixed with bigger jewelry. I have yet to try it out with another since I am single, but can say from the tests I have run when alone, that It does increase pleasure, and once it is healed, you can maneuver that bar around, with no pain at all.
