I recently had my frenum pierced and wanted to add a little more metal to my pedal. I had the frenum pierced at 12ga, then stretched it a month later to 10ga. If you're getting that piercing, I suggest going in at 10ga. The stretch hurt more than the piercing. I'm not sure how the combo of 8ga Apadravya and 10ga frenum will work together. If there's pinching, the frenum will probably be retired. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Ok, now to the Apadravya. I considered most of the major male piercings, except the ampallang - because I already have a horizontal penis piercing. Basically, I was thinking PA. But, I could never quite figure out how those work. Pardon my silliness here, but how can a guy fuck with a big curved barbell or hoop coming out of the urethra? I just couldn't see how a partner would enjoy that odd shape. Also, I didn't want to be a member of 'team sit to pee'.
The apadravya scores high on aesthetics and practicality. It's really 3 piercings in one. A PA, a reverse PA, and the combination of the two – the apadravya. That's value. I got poked at 8ga and probably should have gone at 6 because I hear this is one of the toughest stretches. I can't imagine this being a comfortable or usable piercing at a smaller gauge. I've read that some piercings don't go big and I'm not quite sure why. Zak said go big, I kind of did, and think he's right. And, going big from the start saves you some money because it's less jewelry to buy. Remember that they pierce with an extra long post to allow for swelling. After 3-4 weeks, go back and get sized for a shorter bar. It will be _way_ more comfortable. Instead of buying a whole new piece of jewelry, see if you can keep your current beads and just buy a post.
Zak and Kevin took good care of me. I didn't want to focus too much on what was about to happen, or I might lose my nerve. So, I had them tell me stories to keep my mind of what was about to happen. And, those guys have some stories. They even humored me as I made silly jokes about my pre-pierce shrinkage. I think the minute before the piercing was the smallest my penis has been since birth. The prep time for this piercing is a few minutes because Zak took a lot of measurements. It was worth it, because I am very pleased with the placement.
For the sake of brevity, I will skip some of the standard babble about the room, the prep, and the big needles. You want to know how bad it hurt. I've had both nipples and my frenum pierced, so I'm not totally new to the needle. In my mind, I got pretty worked up about this one and expected the worst. But, in reality, I wasn't able to notice a discernable difference in pain between this and my other piercings. Sure it hurt a lot, but to me, pain is pain. It was pretty quick too and felt like one quick motion. But, I was concentrating on my feet.
I lived through it and you can to. I've unintentionally hurt myself far worse with kitchen knives or drunken clumsiness. Like a dork, I was wearing a heart rate monitor to see if it went through the roof at the point of piercing (just curious). It was only about 120, which is elevated, but not insane. I know you were curious.
Five minutes after the piercing, I had chilled and collected my thoughts enough to hop of the table. I was surprised at how much ass sweat I left on the table. But, they quickly mopped it up and sanitized. As I was leaving, I asked for some tips on healing. The resounding comment was 'No Wood' – explained later.
Things you want to know about:
The first piss. . .I was going to hold out, but had to whiz almost as soon as I got home. I was a little tentative because I was expecting a lot of pain. It didn't hurt much, but it was gross. There were a few blobs of congealed blood that passed. They are nasty and scary looking. Pissing in a glass of warm water helps equalize and reduce any pain of urinating. A technique I call 'priming the pump' really helped. I'd gently pinch the head of my penis and work it around a little just to loosen any clumps so they would be easier to pass. That helped lots.sleeping and bleeding The first few nights were a mess. Even though I was able to remain flaccid for 3 days in a row, I couldn't help but sport some nocturnal wood. Basically, the penis fills with blood and that's where the mess comes in. I purchased a crimson towel. I placed ½ of it under me, then wrapped the top above my bandaged penis. That protected sheets from bleed through on the top and bottom. The first couple of nights hurt pretty bad, but nothing unbearable. You will bleed, so prep the bed accordingly. Don't wear your favorite silk jammies.
During the day, keep your guy wrapped. It can bleed at anytime. Wear dark pants because bleedthrough happens, especially after a lot of walking and irritation. I carried some gauze and tape with me incase I needed to change my dressing in the field.
After about a week I was convinced that I was through the tough stages of healing and that the bleeding was done. Not. At about 1am one morning, my leg felt a little damp. I didn't really think much of it – maybe I spilled a little water on my pants. But, when I was getting ready for bed, I looked down and almost shit. I had soaked through the front of my pants. I quickly dropped trough to inspect. My boxers were covered in blood, and I was literally dripping blood from the penis. I was really worried because I couldn't get it to stop bleeding for about ½ hour and I didn't know why it had suddenly sprung a leak. I was starting to get a bit light headed. Later, I remembered that I had a sneezing fit a little earlier and that upset everything. You have to be careful because you can't feel the bleeding – you have to see it.
But, after that first week, things should be smooth sailing. After 2 weeks, I was able to tentatively explore some self love. I'm still waiting for the main event, but I have high hopes for it. I'm positive it will be a real lady pleaser. I was on a date the other night and things were heating up a little. But, I had to tell her she couldn't straddle me. I was going to make up something, but in the moment, I told the truth that I had a piercing and didn't want to snag it. As soon as I said that, she was all fascinated and wanted to see it. I told her I'm not easy like that and that she'd have to wait. I'm sure she's been thinking naughty thoughts about it since then. The novelty value to a women for being with a guy with an apadravya must be huge.
You know what else. . .it makes me feel like the fuckin' man. More than once a day I see people who think they're all that, and in my mind, I feel I've got that little extra somethin' somethin'. It gives me extra confidence.
