I had already had a PA for about a year and a half and decided to find out what else i could do. So, i talked to my piercer about what options i still had open to me and he suggested that i could get an apadravya. Since i already had half of the piercing done when i had my PA done. After thinking about it for about a month i set up a date to go in and have this done.
I took that day and the next one off of work so that i could recover if i needed it. I took a few steps before i went in to the shop as i knew that it would be very painfull. First i made sure that i had something to eat about an hour to two hours ahead of time so that i was a full energy but that i wasn't going to vomit when it came time. Also, i did bring with me some candy and some water to drink. And, finally i had my fiance come with me to drive me home. One other useful piece of info for those that are interested in getting this piercing or the ampalang is that you should measure the thickness of your penis so that your piercer can have proper jewelry either in stock or ordered for you. So, now i was all set and ready to get pierced.
The day came for getting pierced and i was a nervous as hell. I knew that i wanted to get the piercing and that it was my next step in my growth. The time came for me to get to the shop and i was all in knots as i knew that it was going to really hurt. The reason that the apadravya hurts more than the PA is because of what you are going through. The bottom of the penis is very thin and soft skin, where the top is very thick and tough skin. The differences are about the same as piercing the ear lobe versus piercing the cartilage.
I went into the shop and filled out the paperwork and walked around looking at the tattoo flash that was on all of the walls. I was trying to keep my mind off of what was coming up. But soon enough it was my turn to get in the chair, so to speak. I walked in with my fiancee and made small talk with my piercer, as i was very good friends with him and we always talked about what was going on with each other's lives and what he was going to do. He told me step by step of the whole procedure before doing anything, even though i knew what was going to happen before we walked in. We continued talking while he was setting up. He was the piercer who had done my PA and a few other piercings for me so i was very comfortable with him. After he was finished getting setup i "dropped trou" and started mentally preparing myself for what was going to happen. The first step, was to use the PA ring the line up the hole on the top. Second, he took out the PA ring because the PA ring is curved where as an apadravya is pierced with a barbell. So, we where making a vertical line from a curved opening. Next, i was given a q-tip into my urethra with a numbing agent to help with the pain. I was given a couple of minutes to let the agent take effect. Once it started taking effect, my piercer came back in and put on another set of gloves to be safe. He took the needle and made sure that it was coated in a lubricant to help it pass through the skin easier. This is the point where i began my slow deep breaths. Next he put the needle in the bottom hole and slowly worked it up the hole to where he wanted it to come out the other side. On the top of the head of my penis he put a receiving tube to help make it a lot easier to direct the needle. I took a deep breath in and held it and was told to let it out when he started to push. The pain was intense and i had to concentrate on not crushing my finace's hand. But it seemed like the pain was severely intense. But the needle did go through and then he put the 1 ½ inch barbell through the hole and i got cleaned up.
Once i got home, i made sure that i took it very easy for the rest of the day and the next day. My big words of advice are to make sure to take it easy for at least a day and try not to get too excited right away, because it will hurt if you do. The only other things that i could say is to make sure you clean it regularly and if you can, make sure that the piercing goes through the urethra so that the piercing can be cleaned from the inside out.
