Pre-thoughts: Ever since I got my PA about a year ago, I had wanted to get an Apadravya. It just seemed so mystical and taboo. I told some people about it and they treated me like I was a freak, although I am it wasn't the best feeling. But the desire persisted and grew. I had heard that it hurt a lot and that it would never heal right, but I didn't care about the pain, and no one would get it if it didn't heal. I mentioned it to my current girlfriend, whom I adore, and she was very fond of the idea, which was more incentive! So since she was going away for a month I figured now to be the opportune time to go ahead and get it done.

I woke up this morning with ambition in my heart and fear in the back of my head. I had checked BME extensively and I figured it was safe, so I headed out the door to the piercing studio that did my Prince Albert. I got lost on the way, but I always get lost going there. I went in the door and asked for Jeff, the guy who did my PA. I found out that he no longer worked for that studio and was a bit disheartened, it would have been neat to have the same guy do it, but I would make do without. Chantal was the only one there and she made me feel right at home. I wanted to get my apadravya farther back on the top hole, and she didn't feel comfortable doing this so she phoned a more experienced piercer at a sister shop. But he was unavailable. She explained to me the possible dangers of the placing I wanted so I decided to go ahead and just get the normal one. I picked out my jewelry, a 10 gauge 1 ½" barbell, paid, and we were on our way into the piercing room. She took the time to explain to me the exact cleaning ritual, which I knew, and a rough estimate of healing time. Then I dropped my drawers and laid back on the piercing table.

She took the time to rigorously clean the area and then she marked the top of the head of my penis and showed it to me. It looked good to me, so we moved onto the next step, taper insertion. She wanted to insert the taper in my PA hole and pierce it that way, but the taper roughly a five gauge and my hole was about a seven. So the taper idea was not going to work. She then got out the forceps and placed them appropriately over the markings and got ready for the next step, hole punching!!

With the forceps in place she placed the cork on one side and then warned me I would feel a small prick as she placed the needle on the mark. After she did that she told me to take a deep breath and slowly release. Upon releasing I experienced the worst piercing pain I had ever known. She couldn't get it all the way through in just one push because apparently I have really tough penile head skin. So she pushed again and my leg jolted a bit and the needle was through. I have taken over twenty needles and over 25 hours of tattoo work so far, so I am not just being a sissy. This was quite unpleasant, but it was very brief and well worth it. She the followed the needle though with the barbell and then screwed on the balls. There was no initial blood, but some drops formed after a couple hours. I thanked her for her service and time and was on my way to work.

So far, it has been twelve hours, I have urinated twice and both have burned, but not as bad as the PA did. It has taken to bleeding a bit more, which I am not too pleased with, but I bought colored briefs this time as to avoid having white blood stained briefs laying around my house. The pain and soreness is nominal, and I don't even notice it so far when I am not thinking about it.

After-thoughts: I am glad I went to a piercer who cared enough to tell me the idea I wanted was dangerous and that she wouldn't do it. I have heard stories of people who get experimental pierces done and then problems arise. So I really respected that honesty. I can't wait until my lovely girlfriend gets back so I can show her, and overall I think this has been a pleasant experience. I would recomend it to anyone, it is quite a glorious feeling to have this huge barbell in the end of your penis, and I will report back about healing.
