At long last...

After six years of waiting, thinking, fantasizing, reading about, and considering, I'm FINALLY the proud owner of my first deep piercing, an apadravya.

Ever since first learning about body piercing on rec.arts.bodyart way back when, I've always considered a deep piercing throught the head of my penis because of the increased sensitivity (another victim of forced circumcision) and the added stimulation that it provides to any sexual partner.

About four years ago, I got a PA and eventually stretched it to 8ga, but that wasn't enough. I decided to extend my PA into an apadravya, but there wasn't anywhere locally that could do it. Recently, however, an opportunity presented itself and I couldn't pass up the possibility. My VERY good friend Rick had just finished taking Fakir's advanced piercing course in San Fransisco and was itching to try an apadravya on me, because he knew how badly I wanted one.

We arranged to do it right after the new year's, however, I succumbed to the wave of sickness that swept across our nation over the holidays, and I had to wait until three days ago. He called and told me the shop was dead, so I ran over (luckily I'm only three blocks away)... actually, I slowly walked over and reconsidered and decided that I couldn't chicken out at this point, so I kept going. I arrived at the shop just after another client so I had to wait about 15 minutes, which was good because it gave me time to psyc myself up. Finally she was done and it was my turn.

Rick disinfected the exam table and had me sit while he prepped the jewellery and needle. Then he had me drop my pants and he proceeded manhandle and squeeze my penis to simulate an erection and find the point where the cavernosum meet. He then decided exactly where the barbell should exit out of the top and marked a straight line to indicate the midpoint. Since my PA hole was quite wide at 8ga and the barbell only 14ga, he decided to offset the barbell in the hole which was fine by me.

After being marked and prepped, I lay on the exam table with my pants around my thighs and a needle in my PA hole, ready to be pushed through. At this point, I had taken a number of very deep, very slow breaths, but my heart rate was through the roof. Now I've been pierced many times by Rick, but nothing before would be like this. He then instructed me to take three VERY deep, VERY slow breaths, exhaling through my nose, and on the third exhale, he pushed...

..at this point I felt ALOT of pressure but little pain... I was aware of the needle pushing up through the head of my penis, then I felt a very sharp prick as soon as the needle reached the surface and poked through..

I let out all the air that I had unconciously sucked in, and as soon as I did, I felt a wave of endorphins crash over my body like never before. I then became very lightheaded and then it subsided. Rick asked me how I was doing and I answered ok. He then informed me that he would be pulling out the needle with the barbell inside it, and I felt more pressure and a pop as the needle exited. He then screwed on the other ball and it was all over. I lay there on the table for about 5 minutes while the pain subsided. I thought getting three piercings in one sitting was intense when I had my scrotum ladder done, but nothing compared to this. The pain itself wasn't nearly as bad as I had anticipated since I had prepared for the worst, having read numerous apadravya experiences on this site, which reported pain factors from a little pressure to excruciating agony. The barbell itself is quite long, and it tends to catch on my scrotum ladder jewellery, so I'll have to do something about that soon, I think. I absolutely LOVE the way it looks and it takes superhuman effort on my part not to become instantly erect every time I look at it or think about it.

It's a bit early to tell how it's healing, but so far there's been very little in the way of blood or puslike discharge like I expected. It doesn't hurt right now, but every so often I get a twinge to remind me it's there. In two weeks I will be sizing down the length and upsizing to 12ga. Eventually I'd like to get to 6 or 4ga and get clear lucite jewellery so I can see through it. I think Rick did an AMAZING job and I'm always amazed at his professionalism and ability to make me feel at ease.
