I had considered a piercing for many years but never had the courage to go ahead and do it, I work with the public and have very conservative bosses, so whatever I had done would have to be concealed.

I checked out many web sites and thought most genital piercings looked terrible and I imagined they would be extremely painful too.

I eventually decided that I would have to put up with the pain to get the piercing I wanted and opted for an Ampallang, I am told the location I chose was unusual but still I went ahead. I decided that the piercing would run horizontally not vertically and pass under my urethra. Initially I had wanted a bent barbell which would exit just under the urethra and then re-enter my glans.

There was no way I was going to let a guy mess about with my most treasured possession so I drove the 100 miles to West Sussex and what an excellent decision that was. I had managed to find a studio named Flux Piercing which has an excellent Web-site from which I found that the piercer, and owner, was a lovely young lady named Claire

I was as nervous as hell on the way and I considered turning around at several roundabout's but I held my nerve and arrived after about an hours drive

Claire, who carried out my piercing, was fantastic. The studio was cleaner than my local casualty department and the procedure was done very quickly. Claire was so calming and professional I had no concerns at all about going ahead with the piercing once I had arrived in the studio.

It was a case of a quick guide as to what was to be done, then I dropped my trousers, lay on the bed and Claire marked where the piercing was going to be, she then asked me to check the markings were correct.

As I lay there I wondered if it had been a good idea to have the procedure done in December on the coldest day of the year as Mr Happy was not looking his best, but I consoled myself by thinking "less piercing less pain"

After a quick alteration to the markings Claire went ahead and did the piercing, it wasn't anything like as painful as I thought it would be and by the time I realized something was hurting the procedure was over. The only thing I would change is that as the needle went in I held my breath, which was my mistake, as soon as Claire saw this she told me to relax my shoulders which made me exhale and the pain was easily bearable.

I had some bleeding on the first night but that soon stopped, I had made the mistake of removing the latex glove that Claire had covered my piercing with, which meant I had to change the bed clothes earlier than anticipated. I had to bathe the piercing in salt water twice a day for about 3 weeks and from then on I just used Provon medicated soap to clean it daily. I had trouble getting hold of Provon but eventually ordered some over the internet from an American company.

Claire gave me some written "after piercing" instructions that were really useful and with the instructions was a small container of soap and a small bag of salt to keep me going until I could get more substantial supplies of both.

I am really pleased with my piercing which I have now changed from Steel to Gold (it is a 2.4 mm x 22mm straight barbell, with 8mm balls). On advice from Claire I did not go for the single bent barbell that entered and exited my glans twice, Claire told me that this would effectively be two separate piercings and that this wasn't a good idea. Also I bought a 9ct gold barbell rather than something more pure as the more pure the gold the softer it is and there is a risk that the threads may not hold on the softer gold.

The last young lady I was lucky enough to get in to the sack said my Ampallang "hit all the right spots" I will let you interpret that as you wish, I assumed she was pleased, the person in the hotel room next to me told me that it had certainly sounded that way!

I have sent the Web-Master a photo of my Ampallang but I'm not sure if he will be able to use it, something about pixels, hopefully he will be able to do something with what I have sent as I am sure people who see my Ampallang will agree it is quite tasteful.

If you are thinking about an Ampallang then go for it, but make sure you choose a quality studio as I did. Best of Luck.
