For a while I have been considering getting a genital piercing, but have always just gone and gotten a different piercing. Well I was just browsing BME and thought hey that might look alright.
I called up got the pricing for it and went in. I told them what I wanted and they said "yeah if u want a lot of pain", but it did not bother me. I filled out the necessary paper work and waited for the piercer to get ready.
I was actually quiet nervous about it because I knew that it was going to hurt quiet a bit and did not really read up on it like I usually would do.
He then came out told me to go in and explained a bit about it. He told me to drop my pants and said he would turn around because it might be weird doing it in front of another guy.
After that I lied down on the surgical bed that they have there and he went through told me a bit about it and said that it would not go through my urethra. I was a bit shocked about it because I thought it did but kind of glad it did not. The marking was not bad or anything, just the standard 2 dots. This took him two attempts but at least that way I know it is in the right spot.
After he marked it and cleaned the area he asked me to look at it and give him the O.k. I liked the position it was in and said for him to go ahead.
Before the piercing was done he went through and explained a bit of the aftercare. It was just not touching the bar, cleaning it twice daily with sea salt and he gave me a bottle of pro tat as well for it. He measured it up and went and got the right size bar from the shop and then came back in and made sure it was alright to go ahead with.
The clamps went on which felt uncomfortable for the most part, and he did not show me the needle and did not tell me when he was going to pierce it. He made sure it was alright on both sides before piercing then boom, the needle went through. Now this is the worst piercing pain I have ever had. I thought I was alright with pain from a piercing, but this one was really painful. Well anyway the needle got through but by this stage I was clenched up but the piercer told me to take a few breaths and after that I was alright. Now I don't want anyone to think twice about it, it's a great piercing but the pain from it is quiet excruciating.
Getting the bar in was not that bad, it actually felt alright after that. The pain had gone away and I did not get light headed, woozy or anything. I actually felt good after that better then when I first went in there.
I had paid him before that so I had less chance of chickening out of it and he went through just some basic rules about it. I was not able to play with it, when I had sex to use a condom for the first few times and that there would be some slight blood for the next few days and said too go back if there is any problems.
I was glad when I left because I knew it was done. As I was walking I felt blood on my leg. I thought it must have just been a little trail. Well I got home went in for a shower to clean it up a bit then I looked down at my boxers there was blood all at the bottom, it was dark blood as well, but oh well that's what u expect. I cleaned it up and it was alright after that.
Waking up the next morning was not as bad as I had expected. Just a bit of dry blood around either ball but it was not hard to clean off. The water did most work.
A few days after that there was dry blood on the right ball but it did not come of just by water. So I went and got a toothpick because it was small and semi strong and cleaned that all away.
The healing process was not that bad either. It was just the first few days that are weird, knowing u have a bar through your penis. But u do get used to it and it heals up just like any other piercing. It was a bit hard to clean it though for a while because it is so sensitive. But besides that it's been fine. The pro tat is a spray on liquid which makes it easier then having to have sea salt soaks.
A lot of people may not believe you but you know you have it done that's all that counts.
