I'm still glowing from my recently done ampallang it's been about 46 minuets now. I've been in preparation now for about a week to the day. Getting all the what ifs out of my system by studying cold hard facts. Being 1.I wanted a Trans urethral glans piercing. 2. Its going to hurt. 3. Its going to be an experience to remember for ever.

The shop: Needllewurks in Saratoga Springs New York. Folks, this is the shop to go to if you're looking for any piercing. I've been going to them and only them for all of my piercing so it was natural to choose needlewurks for my amp. They are good knowledgeable people with a sterile environment and an excellent atmosphere. I've known the owner and his apprentice for sometime now and after some inquiry I learned that Cracker (the apprentice) had yet to do an amp. I knew that this was the time. He felt confident in his ability to follow through with the whole procedure so did Paul (the owner) so I said okay lets do it.
Experience: Well I like to stick to the philosophy "don't be a scrooge go huge!" so I decided to get pierced at 10 gauge. It was more than exhilarating I'm riding a piercing high like never before. I'm not going to lie, it hurt but this is why a piercing should be something you want, and my only regret is that I waited so long to get it done. The piercing and stretching took a bit of time, but that was the worst part I knew somewhat to expect from previous piercing like my p.a. which was done at 12g. Yet this was a different kind of experience all together. There were 4 guys in the room with me, the owner (to watch and make sure it was done right!), the 2 apprentices (one to watch the experience and one to pierce) and my vanilla friend whom is contemplating a p.a. between all of us cracking jokes and the fact that there were 3 people on hand to give opinions and help the experience went as smooth as possible. The surprising part was that there was no blood what so ever, not a single drop. I was in the chair for about 10 minuets between clamping, marking, piercing and stretching and jewelry. And the entire time I felt a divination with myself like never before. It was spectacular. The placement is perfect I mean right on the dots and I'm glad that we pierced at 12 and stretched to 10, because a little known fact that a 10 gauge needle is a bit larger than the jewelry which makes for not the tightest of fits and lets the blood out. The way it worked out is that it almost was like putting a cork in a wine bottle except it was jewelry in my penis. Granted the stretch hurt more than the piercing itself I wouldn't have it any other way. We didn't even have to remove my p.a. to do it because we placed it relatively far back in the glands. After all of the high fives and pictures is when the smiling began and I haven't stopped since.
All in all it was a learning experience for everyone in the room, Cracker got to do his first ampallang (I give him a perfect ten from procedure to clean up) Paul got to watch his apprentice in action with a relatively difficult piercing. My friend Chris got to watch an ampallang piercing along with the apprentice Chris. Most importantly I learned what it was like to have an ampallang done. Utter beauty. the only recommendations I have are to get this piercing done professionally and unless you have apprenticed for a year or more you shouldn't consider yourself a pro only because its a difficult one to do correctly. Also prepare your self mentally and physically (figure it out jack) for a bit of time before hand, and finally if you want it... Get it done! I have had several piercing and scarification experiences (professional and play) and this one has set the notch for me. I almost feel different (in a good way.) the healing should take a while and I plan to sea salt for at least 6 months because I do not want to lose this piercing, and I can wait to stretch hey even though they weren't the greatest band gnu was right about patience.
All I can say is that I'm one very happy man for have getting this done. In time I would definitely consider another one or maybe even two. this is something I defiantly wont regret when I'm "all grown up" I'm going to go enjoy this flood of endorphins in my body now and meditate if you have any questions feel free to email me and ill help you the best I can. -Jacob
