For quite a while I had been very interested in various types of body piercings and had other piercings performed, but one piercing that I had always wanted but never had done was an ampallang. He marked the area to pierce and I chose to go thru the urethra instead of over as he explained this was much better as it is a more stable route.Whereas if I had chose to go over it could be easy to rip out during sex.
As I sat there waiting he began prepping the equipment that he needed to use for the procedure he gave me the option of going with a 14 gauge barbell but warned that it would and could easily tear, and suggested that i go with a slightly bigger one so i went with the 12 as it was much bigger and was told would be easier to take care of and much more comfortable.
After marking he clamped the area lightly, note that no numbing solution was used, he then proceeded to pierce, at first I thought what have I done but, during this time he began telling jokes and the tension eased and i felt more comfortable an not as nervous. Also during all of this he was teaching a student new to the profession on piercing techniques, As he began really the only feeling was the prick of the needle and then the sensation was not that it hurt but more like heat building as he began to exit the opposite side.
Before I knew it he was finished and gave me some more aftercare instructions, bandaged me and I was on my way home.
That evening I never thought I would have trouble sleeping, but this is the first time in my life, and it lasted for several days, the erections caused by my piercing would not seem to end.
However after about a week the swelling and irritation seemed to stop,there are some down and upsides.the downs are during healing there is quite a bit of irritation and some bleeding as you walk but I found out that using maxi pads that the rubbing is less and the irritation is diminished, and during after care you must be very cautious as to keep yourself clean and to properly clean the sight.
The upside to this is that now when I have an erection or engage in any sexual activity, the enhancement that I receive is much more enjoyable than before, but you still must take care as to keep your self clean and not to over do it as to tear your piercing loose as it could cause damage.
This is one piercing that I was glad to experience, And do not regret having, I have grown over the years to accept that you only have one life to live and that you must experience it to the fullest and found my way thru body piercing the endorphin rush in my opinion is an experience that is hard to describe, yet very good,In Two Weeks I turn 40 years old and will add to my experience by going further by adding a PA to My Ampallang and maybe a dydoe.
In Conclusion, If Anyone is to seek out this type of piercing, before you jump into it do some research as to what is involved, talk with your piercer, or several studios and even with people that have had it done, because the more you know about your procedure the better prepared you are for obtaining and your body accepting your piercing. Know Your Limits and know the risks that are involved before undertaking in body invasion as you know your body more than anyone else does but at least under stand the risks that are involved.
