This is my experience when getting my ampallang pierced. Let me start by saying that I have been pierced 19 times previously to this. Two of which were genital piercings (Prince Albert, and frenum). I wanted an ampallang for a while, but never had the nerve to get it done.

I don't trust people on Long Island to pierce my genitals. And we decided that we would pierce it with a 10 gauge 1 ½ long barbell.
I decided that I should go on a weekday so not to take him away from any other customers. It was a Wed and I just got out of class, and I called to make sure that he was in. He was, so I started heading towards home, and then I was going to go to the city.
When I got home, I decided that I was not yet ready for this piercing. I thought I was before, but then I decided that it was going to be one of my rights of passage, a test of myself. I decided to wait. Also I had work and school the next day, and I wanted to be able to rest and relax the day after.
I was going to go after school ended, on a Tuesday. Then I had off a Saturday, and Sunday, so I talked to Brian and asked if he would be willing to pierce me that Saturday, and he said yes.
I started out the day with some meditation, and some bacon and eggs. I called my friend, picked her up, and we started to head to the city. We took the train so that I wouldn't have to drive in the city.
We got to the city, and headed to the shop. When we got there Brian was with another customer, so we waited and then he had to 'clave the jewelry, cause he wasn't sure if I was coming.
While we were waiting for that to be done, we talked about a lot of different modifications.
After the jewelry was ready, we started to set up the room. A few minutes later he called me in, and asked me if I would rather take off my pants, or just pull it through, so I just pulled it through.
At this point I am very nervous, as I am before any piercing.
He told me to lay down on the table, he gloved up, put a bib, and gauze around my penis. Then he cleaned the head of my penis, and started to make his marks.
He decided that we should pierce it with an 11 gauge needle, and stretch it to a 10 gauge, to stop most of the bleeding. I liked this idea because when I got my PA (8 gauge) I bled like hell for 4 days.
After he measured, and was happy with the marks, he took out my PA ring. He started to put the clamps on, and I started to feel like I was gonna throw up, or pass out. He gave me a glucose tablet, and put a garbage pail next to the table. We waited a little while, and we clamped me again. I still wasn't ready. He was getting the clamps perfect.
Then I told him that I was ready, but he couldn't let me know when he was gonna do it. He told me to just concentrate on my breathing, and my stomach. He told me to breath in, and then out, and I was pierced.
It was painful, yes. Not even close to how bad I thought it was gonna be though. When the needle when through, I saw a white shape in my closed eyes. It was just a flash and then it was gone.
He then took the clamps off, and I looked down at my penis. I yelled out a WOO!! And I said thank you very much to Brian. The look of my penis with a needle going through the head like that was just breath taking.
Now for the fun part, the stretch.
He asked me to breath in through my nose, and out through my mouth again. I did and most of the stretch in a second, and it felt like a little pinching sensation. Then he got the jewelry, and put it in. That part of the stretch, the exit hole, pinched like all hell. Then he tightened the ball on, re inserted my PA ring, and asked if I wanted it wrapped. I said yes expecting some blood. He wrapped it, and told me I was done.
I went out to the waiting room, and saw my friend. She told me congratulations. Brian went over the aftercare, charged me, and we talked a little bit more about other modifications. Then I was on my way.
There was only a drop of blood the first day. The next morning, morning wood was uncomfortable, and it woke me up at 4, and 6. But the bar was long enough, to not be a pain in that situation. There was very little bleeding at all. I am paranoid, so I wrapped it for 3 days, day and night.
I say if you are thinking about getting this piercing, go for it. ½ a second of pain, for at the very least, a great look. I have yet to try it out with someone cause I am healing, but playing with myself is more fun than it was before. Also, the piercing high lasted weeks. It lasted almost as long as a hook high from pulling or suspending. And everyone told me that I was "glowing" for days.
