I've wanted an ampallang ever since I had my Prince Albert (P.A.) done a number of years ago and have stretched it out to 7mm, some of the stretching was natural up to about 4mm but after that I had to physically stretch it. I don't know about any other guys with P.A.'s but mine seemed to stretch on it's own really easily which was particularly a problem whilst urinating! Anyway back to the Ampallang!
At A Glance Author anonymous Contact anonymous@bme.anon IAM piercedwelshmanuk When Three months ago Artist Myself Studio At Home Location Barry, South Wales, UK Due to my shyness and stupidity I decided to do it myself. Let me just say that I have pierced myself down there a few times before so that was nothing new, however I had only gone through loose skin before and not something as thick as doing an ampallang on myself. Like I said I'm really shy and would rather attempt it on myself because I doubt I'll pluck up the courage to get it done professionally, I get really embarrassed about things like that even though I am friends with my local piercer! I even hang out at his shop on some Saturday afternoons, chatting and meeting up with a couple of other people, but I'm a shy person so unfortunately that takes control of me!
I had finished work early one evening and thought it would be an ideal time to do it before my girlfriend get home from work, I knew she'd be home in around 30 minutes so I knew I had plenty of time. It was something I had planned for a while and had all of the correct equipment and jewellery so off I went to the bathroom. I have a spray local anaesthetic which I used but it wasn't really working so I kept spraying it and leaving it but it wasn't getting numb, so I had to make the decision to either give up or bite the bullet and put up with the pain because it'd be worth it in the end. Obviously due to the fact that I am writing this I chose the second of the two options!
So I marked and checked then re-marked where I was going to pierce and put the clamps on, at this point I thought I could take on the world because it was uncomfortable but not particularly painful. So I proceeded on, I got the brand new sterilized 2.4mm needle out of the sealed wrapper, lined it up and started to push, now here is where I thought this is really going to hurt, but I really wanted it. I pushed it though halfway and thought well I can't stop now so proceeded to push and out it popped through the other side, at this point the blood started to flow, which wasn't really worrying until I got such an endorphin rush I passed out. I woke up on the bathroom floor after about 2 minutes with the needle still in my penis, and blood and a bit of semen which surprised me, I must have deep down enjoyed the whole process then!
I put the straight barbell in the end of the needle and pushed the needle and barbell through, put the ball on, tidied the blood up etc and got a glass of coke to get my blood sugar levels back up. I sat down an relaxed and then checked out my handy work and noticed that I had done it crooked, and was really gutted, next came the very difficult decision to leave it in and put up with the crookedness or take it out and try again at a later date, again I chose the second option, which is one I have regretted ever since. I know I'll do again someday just hopefully the results will be better and I will keep the piercing, I think I'll enroll someone to mark it up for me because it isn't the easiest of piercings to see if the marks are straight!
That was about a year ago now and still haven't tried again, although the football season is nearly finished over here so I'll have the opportunity to try again soon enough, if I do then hopefully it'll be a better success, maybe enrol a friend to lend a helping hand as my girlfriend isn't really into piercing!
If you want to read my Prince Albert experience I've added a link below, although some of the information is incorrect, the shop hasn't closed, it's very much open and still the best in the Cardiff area.
If you ever need anything pierced go and see Ed at Chrome Inc, he's a top bloke and the most experienced piercer in the area. I know I should practice what I preach but I just feel awkward and shy!
Anyway as Porky Pig would say d.d.d.d.d.d.d.dats all folks, and if anyone has any questions or wants to contact me then feel free on stusullivan@yahoo.co.uk.
Happy Piercing ;-)
