It's been some time since the piercing bug first bit me, although I am somewhat of a late starter! I had a Prince Albert piercing done seven years ago and an ampallang about three years ago. They were both done using anaesthetic, so there wasn't much pain. I took out the ampallang shortly afterwards, partly because I was impatient for things to heal and partly because it was a tad out of alignment.
At A Glance Author Phil Contact hornyphil@hotmail.com When It just happened Studio Bodyworks Location Croydon, Surrey England So after some years and looking longingly at pics of guys with their ampallangs on the net I thought it was time to have a second crack.
I'd been to Bodyworks before - a few years back for jewellery and then a month ago to have my nipple redone (it had never healed properly, so I took it out). It's one of those strange things that you have a piercing, take it out if it doesn't go just right and then have it done again. But over the past few weeks I had been thinking more and more about a new BIG piercing and the ampallang seemed to be the perfect answer.
I phoned the studio on Friday morning - it's now Sunday - to see if an appointment was needed, and it wasn't. In some ways I had secretly wished that an appointment would have been required, just to delay things a little. Still after work - I finished early at 3.00 pm - I made my way to the studio ....a small shop in a quiet side street.
Inside there are some hard looking benches, a large display cabinet, and the piercer and his accomplices waiting for customers - well I suppose Friday afternoon may not be their busiest time. 'I phoned earlier about an ampallang,' I said. 'Oh right,' said the piercer. Seemed a bit too casual this ...a bit too run-of-the-mill. Still onwards and upwards - there's no point chickening out now I thought; besides it was pissing down with rain, so I might just as well stay.
Next stage was filling in a consent form, easy enough, only my heart was beginning to beat just a little faster now, and there were second and third thoughts going through my mind. After all there are quite a few horror stories about the pain of an ampallang .....makes you think just a bit more. Still, with my mind sort of made up and legs turning to concrete it was time to go to the piercing room.
A compact room with a dentists chair in the middle. Time to slip down the trousers and pants - an old pair just in case - sit back and think of um well anything really.
Heart is pounding like there's no tomorrow at this stage and conversation is a little forced. The piercer who has a good number of piercing and heaps of tattoos goes through the procedure: cleans up, swabs, draws lines and dots on my knob, talks a bit about the pain .......all that kind of stuff, but nothing really sinks in.
Then he says words to the effect of ...'I put the clamp around the head and hold it really tight. That keeps the blood out and makes the passage to go through narrower'. Holding my knob then with the clamp and with a needle in his other hand he says, 'Are you ready?'. 'As ready as I'm ever going to be!' was my rather flippant reply and then nnnnnnnnnnghhhhhh and it was in and through.
Did it hurt? Well, yes it did. Did it hurt a lot? Well not as much as I thought it would have. It was rather like the burning pain you get with your first piss after a Prince Albert, only stronger.
Next came the bar, only 1.8mm, which went in fairly painlessly.
And that was it. A bit of talk about aftercare ... soak in salt water....the urine will clean the wound, etc. and time to pay and go. Getting dressed was easy until I started to feel just a little light-headed.
Had to sit / lie down for a few minutes before navigation systems came back on line.
Got home an hour later and looked at this new addition. Felt very proud of my bar, something which will grow in importance as it heals I reckon.
The first night was a bit sore, the wounds decided to bleed a bit, but not that much. There was a big blood stain on my boxers and that was all. During the day I had my friend wrapped in tissue paper, just in case it decided to bleed lots, but it didn't.
There's one thing, though, and that's the piercing just misses the urethra, which is a pit. I had hoped to hook my Prince Albert around the ampallang, but that is not to be.
I've not done anything adventurous with my best friend yet, but I will. Last time I didn't have the patience to wait, but now I think I will. I'd much prefer the piercing to settle down first and then have some real fun with it.
So now my dick has yet another hole, which I hope will heal properly. Got to think about what to have done next ...... maybe another tattoo.
