Contemplating the thought of getting an Ampallang for about 5 months i committed myself to going it. Where would i go you say? Where else but the best street in Philadelphia to get your body modified, on 4th street in between South and Bainbridge streets, this street is known for its heavy arayments of stores to alter your appearance. These stores include two extensions of Philadelphia's Eddies Tattoo Parlors, Forbidden Art Tattoo shop, one installment of Body Graphics tattoo shop, and the store of my choice on this day... INFINITE BODY PIERCING INCORPORATED. This is the story of one the most hardcore days of my life.

Sure there are a couple of other piercing studios in philly like Inferno Body Piercing, Warrior Tattoos and Body Piercing, let alone plenty of corner tattoo shops all over philly that have part time/on call piercers but why not go to the best. I've been a faithful customer of INFINITE's for aproxamently 3 1/2 to 4 years now and have never yet met such good people. All the people that work there are extemely professional, knoweldged in their own feilds, friendly, and not to mention pleasant to be around. Hell i'm so cofortable there that i go there on occasion just to bullshit about random things (and should just put me on the other side of the counter and start paying me because all i do is block the view of the cases for the other customers!). Why else would i choose INFINITE over anywhere else? Well i've had most of my piercings done there... 10 out of 15 to be exact: my snakebite 10g tongue barbells,origional left earlobe and both nips(origional 14g stetched to 8g...ouch) where done outside of INFINTE but my 10g semi-verticle labret(which is a 2g now) and 2x 12g side labrets by Jim Weber:the co-owner; and 2x 16g mid eyebrow curved spiked barbells, 10g septum circular barbell, 2x 12g napes, in the beginning and 8g eyelet in the right earlobe(i'm at an inch and 1/8 in both ears now... 35mm film cases to be exact.), and this in the most case my 8g ampallang all by the magic of Luis Garcia. In retrospect and all honesty i have the most faith in Luis and feel the most comfortable with him piercing me. Think about it do you want some random Joe giving you a genital piercing?... i think not.
I would give you the exact date if my memory served me right but it fails to do so but, I had awoken from my slumber at my friends dorm room at the Art Institute of Phila. and didnt have to wake my friend Jay up because he was already playing Tony Hawk 2 for PS. We readied ourselves and our bikes and headed of to INFINITE to get a surgical steel needle pierced through the head of my penis...(just doesnt sound like the ideal thing to do but, hell its good clean fun in the end.) We arrived at our desination and enter the studio to be warmed by the greetings, handshakes,and high fives of Luis and the rest of the counter people and piercers(Joolie--(sigh),Angela, and John to be exact), only to have John give me a boost of esteem by cringing and making a hand gesture of holding his crotch. In room 2 Luis preps me for my piercing and gives me the " take a deep breathe in... and out... OUCH! FOUR REALLY INTENSE SPURTS OF EXTREMELY UNMATCHABLE PAIN went through me and "a deep breathe out" soon became about 3 really heavy breathes out in a perfect sequence. Well the worst was yet to come...
After being given my new piece of body adornment i of course bullshitted about pointless topics for a little bit and then had the lovely pleasure of riding my bike home... no big deal right? Wrong. My house is in North-East philly about 18 miles away... you betcha that had to feel great! Once upon arriving home i took a very deserved sea salt soak and shower, had Jay take some pictures of the blood and the piece to my collection. Then to be graced 5 of my other friends asking me to go to a hardcore-metal show in Bensalem with them... of course i accepted... why not go all out? Of course there was a fight at the show which i had no part of but people i know did and our ride had left and me and 3 of my friends got to walk home about another 5 miles. I almost blacked out and was pretty delierious at that point of time but in the end was well worth it.
I bet you know who slept like a baby that night...
Well in the end it was completely worth it. It bruised a little bit and all the exertion that night didn't help it at all and i have a record of healing quite fast anyway but i have a 8g perfectly symetrical piercing horizontally through the head of my penis, otherwise called an ampallang and I let alone others that have expirienced it full on are overly pleased with it. Luis Garcia yet again brings happiness to me and whoever is gettin' it...
