Ouch.....Finally got my Ampallang done |
| ||||||||||||||||
Last night I ventured out to Pleasurable Piercings in NJ in order to get my long awaited ampallang done. I'd spent months talking to people, reading reviews, checking out pictures...but all the while I knew it would happen one day.That day was yesterday.
So after about an hour drive from central Jersey and short roll through the ghettos of Paterson, NJ, we arrived at our destination. Inside was wonderful. Besides the jewlery and the signed Alice in Chains picture on the wall, the leather couches were the best part. I had called earlier and got pricing and ampallang information from a girl who worked there and was now seeing her in person. We figured out what I wanted, signed some paperwork, got some jewlery, and then it came down to the lecture that she must give to all customers. While she's going through my intercourse and oral sex restrictions, two girls next to us were listening in. The reaction they had when they found out what I was actually doing amused me quite a bit. She said that I really don't have to abstain from anything, including intercourse, but that I should protect myself. I see why now because I don't even want to try screwing today, or the next day. Oral sex was permitted by her but she advised me to wash immediately afterwards. She wished me luck, stole my 90 dollars, and told me to have a seat. Within a couple minutes, the store started to fill up considerably. I used the bathroom, sat down, and thought about something else. Within 2 minutes I was called in the room and after that, the rest is history.
Jamie introcuded himself as I walked in the room and told me to have a seat. I asked him why PP chooses to do only trans-urethral ampallangs. "They heal faster, better, and tend to be cleaner because your urine acts as a sterile cleaning agent." I had thought going in that I wanted the non-urethral flavor, but I opted to go with the experts on this one. When he had all of his equipment out he asked me to drop 'em and have a seat. The last thing I watched was the marking. Then I sat back, grabbed the head rest of the chair, and waited for the clamp. He clamped it right the first or second time (I couldn't tell, my eyes were going no where near my lower body). Then asked me if I was ready.
The worst part is about a half second after the needle starts to go through. Pain, and lots of it (a 10 gauge will do that to you). Thank god Jamie gave me a lollipop to suck on or I prolly would have bit through my lip. I can only compare it the way others have on BME -- it can only compare to getting a needle shoved through the head of your dick. I wouldn't say I screamed, but I definitely yelled about what was goiing on. A few choice words later and it was pretty much over. The pain started to dull out a bit, but I still knew my willy would never be the same. I felt great. I had finally done it. What I had wanting for such a long time was finally mine. The whole procedure, including screwing on the ball, dressing the wound (yeah, I'd call it a wound, wouldn't you?), and tipping my needle wielding friend took about 4 minutes in all. My friend was allowed in the room with me to watch, although she flinched in the corner the entire time as if it was her dick getting impalled. I, personally, didn't watch. I don't suggest that anyone does either.
So having my new found metal friend, I grabbed my stuff and strolled out of the room to find about 20 people in the store who all were looking at me as if there was a "genital piercing in progress" sign hangin on the door to the piercing room. That or they heard my battle cry and was wondering what went on. I strolled past with a slight grin on my face (I was flying on adreniline), and left the store.
The key so far for me is trying to keep the blood and liquid that seeps out from the piercing from drying out too much. Frequent showers or tricky bathroom sink procedures can take care of this. Provon is some amazing stuff and if the place you get your ampallang done (yes, you must go and get one now) doesn't have it, head out to a pharmacy or medical store and pick some up. Today I just have a small amount of swelling and that dull pain you have after you get pierced that fells just like a sore muscle. I think that's about it. Hope this helps someone who wants to get it done like others helped me. Laterz.
