I've liked the look of nipple piercings for quite a time. I was (am!) particularly drawn to the look of nipple(s) adorned with just a plain bar, ring and decorative styles never really appealed much.

I soon lost any real motivation to get it done and I suppose forgot about it for a while.

My decision to finally go ahead and have it done was totally unplanned and spur of the moment. My nipple piercing was my first real piercing (apart from my earlobes but I guess they hardly count).

The day I got it done, a group of friends and I happened to be celebrating my friends birthday by seeing a movie at a local shopping centre. There was quite a large group of us (about 10 or so) and while we were waiting for the movie to start, we decided to look around the shops a bit. For some reason or another, the group eventually separated leaving me alone with two female friends.

One of these friends happened to already have some piercings and was interested in possibly having her tongue pierced. So all three of us made our way to a piercing shop that just so happened to be the shop where my friend had her piercings done.

We approached the counter and my friend asked about the price of tongue piercings ($60, since you ask). We were just about to leave when I decided to casually enquire about the price of nipple piercings. The man at the counter (who was also the piercer) told me it was $40 or $45 or something. I also asked about pain and potential risk of breastfeeding problems, both of which he assured me were minimal. He also said that he had some free time and could fit me in now, if I would like.

I was much exited about his offer, mostly because I was (and still am) only 15 and was thrilled by the fact that he had failed to ask for i.d!

I'm not quite sure how,(or why?) but within five minutes I found myself stripped of my garments from the waste up, lying on the piercing bed, feeling quite excitedly petrified. I couldn't believe I was doing this, but with some pretty enthusiastic egging-on on my friend's part, I stayed put and decided to go through with it.

The piercer came in, unwrapped his needle, and eventually succeeded to have me still enough to pierce within a few minutes. I wasn't so much afraid of the pain, but just in a state of disbelief, not having had really any time to think this through.

When it finally happened, I found the sensation of the needle to be surprisingly painless (though I think I insisted on swearing anyway, just for good measure). The sensation was more a stretch than a stab, and only stung a little bit. I watched the whole procedure (against the advice of the piercer) and the insertion of the jewelry was fairly painless also.

Then I put my bra on, paid and met the rest of my friends in the cinema. My initial reluctance to share my amazing story dissolved and I proudly told (and showed!) my friends my new addition. Most of them just laughed and called me a freak. It's the sort of thing i would do (according to them...) but they were still quite surprised. They all asked to see it, as some of them didn't believe I was serious.

I was on a bit of a high, and spent the entire film (which I can hardly remember) 'occasionally' looking proudly down my bra.

Cleaning was a breeze, saline solution, shot glass, twice daily, for about a month (or less). I found after care and healing to be nearly completely painless.

It's now been about four months and I really love the look of it. I think by now it's probably %9O-100 healed, and if not it certainly feels it. By now hitting it etc... hurts no more than my other, unpierced side. Absolutely no signs of infection (at any stage), crusting is extremely minimal, if any at all.

I recommend this piercing to, well, everyone! Although increase in sensitivity has been minimal, I love it and if you don't mind my saying, i think it has really improved the look of my boob, which is slightly on the small side. Also, if your nipples go completely flat when they're no erect, this piercing will correct that keeping them constantly attractively semi-erect. I'd imagine this piercing would also do a great deal to correct inverted nipples.

Oh, and if you do get one (or two...), be sure to have some 'Baileys' style shot glasses on hand as they make cleaning/soaking really easy. No need to use soap, spray or any other types of BS as plain saline does the job excellently.

ENJOY!
