I'd always been curious about nipple piercings, and thought they were a lot more interesting than belly button or facial piercings so when my best friend suggested getting ours done together for her birthday I was excited at the idea and agreed straight away. We always do things together, and we decided to get alternating nipples pierced, mine on the right and hers on the left. The plan was to go down to the piercing salon and get them done together in one sitting but when we arrived there was only one needle left and because kate was panicking more than me I let her go first and said I would wait for the delivery that afternoon. I returned to the salon later by myself, dreading what I expected to be a very painful experience, as during Kate's piercing she almost fainted and due to the fact there was also no freeze spray to use for her piercing she felt everything...

He himself had his nipple pierced 3 times in each one and is stretching them. He then calmly told me to "whap it out". He drew where I wanted the bar to go onto my nipple in green pen and got me to check it with a mirror. I then spent the next 5 minutes staring at the ceiling as he clamped my nipple, and sprayed it with freeze spray, which felt strangely numb, and made the clamp feel like I had an elastic band tied round my nipple. The actual entry of the needle was no more painful than having my ear lobes pierced; it just felt like pressure on my nipple, like someone was pinching it, and in about 30 seconds Fez had the bar through, the plastic tubing out and the balls screwed on to each end. He carefully cleaned around the wound with anti bacterial fluid and put a piece of cotton wool on to soak up any blood.
I was actually surprised about the lack of pain, but as I was to find out, that was down to the freeze spray, and as it started to wear off, my right nipple began to throb so painfully that by the time I was heading out of town I had to stop and sit down for ten minutes, because the throbbing, burning sensation was too strong. It was like someone had sprayed deep heat or tiger balm on me. After about half an hour, however, this burning had all but gone, and I was just very aware of my breast bouncing as I walked, as it felt like I could feel every nerve in my nipple! After about 3 hours the slight throbbing had also disappeared. I cleaned the piercing three times a day with Savlon wound wash, which i have found has been very helpful with all my piercings, and a few times a week gave my nipple a salt bath to help the blood flow to the wound and loosen any scabs that formed over night.
After a week the tenderness had gone, and the scabs were falling off and now, a month and 3 weeks on, the piercing is completely healed all around both holes, and I can swap bars and rings. The piercing took less time to successfully heal than all my other piercings, and I have had no problems with it at all- no infection or pain or rejection of the bar. I've also discovered that the sensation at the area of the piercing has increased, which is always fun! I definately want to get the other nipple done as it is so hot, and my boyfriend loves it (although sometimes forgets I have a lump of metal there!). I intend to get it done as soon as the novelty of the first one has worn off, which I have to say hasn't yet happened! I would definately recommend it if you're considering the same piercing, as for the minimal amount of pain and healing time for a gorgeous piercing, it's more than worth it!
My Mum obviously doesn't know about this particular of my piercings, as she already disapproves of my double lobes, conch and tragus piercing. However, people who've seen my nipple have been persuaded to get theirs done as they loved it so much, and since having mine done I've had two more piercings, and I intend in the next few months to get my left nipple pierced and am considering getting my clit done, although Fez is only trained for above the waist piercing so I would have to research a reputable, experienced and licensed piercing salon to get that particular addition...any experiences or advice on that would be really appreciated!
