Ok, so I should probably start off this little story of mine by explaining the piercings I already have done, prior to last nights extravaganza! Within the last two years I have gone on a major piercing binge. I have three standard love piercings on each either, a forward helix, a conch, tongue, labret, and prior to last night I only had horizontal 14g nipple piercings.

My two friends and I were itching for new holes really bad. As most people know, once you start, it is very hard to stop. They become addicting. So we were all sitting there pondering what the hell we were going to get done, since we were all running out of room, or options of what we would even consider getting pierced.
I went in to the piercing studio with the idea in mind to get a second horizontal nipple piercing above the one I already had. But once I showed the piercer what he was working with, he said there wouldn't be enough room to safely pierce me that way. So of course my friends were all like, "well, what else are you going to get done?" And honestly, I had my mind set on the second horizontal piercing, I didn't really think I wanted anything else done. So we all sat there thinking about what to get done, the piercer was awesome and we were all just shooting the shit with him. I kept looking at my nipple (sounds weird but, its true) to figure out if I would like the vertical behind the horizontal I already had. The piercer talked to me to tell me how deep it would have to be, and all this and all that. I didn't think I liked the idea very much. I had seen pictures here on BME of people who had this, but I was not sure.
About a half hour later I decided I would just go for it. The price they were offering for having them both done was really good, and since we were all already there, why not? If worst came to worst I could always just take them out if I did not like how they looked. Which is a big plus when it comes to piercings.
So the true experience began. He had be take my boobs out (obviously) and had me stand on a line infront of him. He marked where the needle would go in, and come out. And then had me check the marks in the mirror to see if I thought they were straight and where I wanted them. They looked fine. He had me lay down on the table (which was when I started getting wicked nervous). Now, the first time I had gotten my nipples done, on a scale of one to ten, the pain was only a four or so. This time, with the clamps alone, the pain was horrible! I don't know why it hurt so much more this time, but it did. So he continued and pierced my right nipple first. Now, compared to the pain of the clamp, it wasn't that much worse. But it still hurt a lot. Onto nipple number two. I was not looking forward to this one, since everyone says the second one hurts the most. So the clamp is on, and he never told me I could hold it when he walked away to get the needle, but yeah, the clamp moved somehow and it hurt like hell. He came back, and pushed the needles through. All was done.
Now, I just had this done last night, and let me tell you, sleeping last night was NOT fun. Its not that I was kept awake all night because of the horrible pain, but when I would wake up to roll over or whatever, they did hurt really really bad. They almost felt like they were throbbing. I somewhat expected this because of how deep these vertical ones had to be to get behind the horizontal piercings I already had. But, I am just a big baby when it comes to pain. Since I had already had them done before, I know what to do to keep them clean and what not. I am just hoping that the uncomfortable-ness does not stick around for very much longer.
Another note – the barbell he used is so long! He said this is because he does not want it to be too tight during the healing period, which makes sense. I will probably end up going back there in a month or so with my friend (who got her conch done with a very big CBR) in order to have the two barbells changed to something smaller. I had hoops in my horizontal piercings, and I think once I had the smaller barbells in, it will look a lot better.
So to anyone considering a second time around at nipple piercings, I would recommend it! The pain is somewhat more noticeable, since the second holes need to be deeper, but its nothing that is not tolerable!
