Ok, before I start with my story, I wouldn't feel right if I didn't stress about how important it is to find the best place you can in your area. You have to make sure that its clean, sterile, and the people know what they're doing. Make sure that they wear gloves, clean the area appropriately, and have you stand up straight with your arms at your side to make the markings for the entrance and exit of the needle (to ensure that its straight). Ok, with that said, onward!
At A Glance Author Amber Contact Amber@bme.anon When It just happened Artist Steve Studio Pokerz Location In Lancaster Ca, 743 West Ave.I Four months ago it just kind of dawned on me that I wanted my nipples pierced. I had always admired them on other people but I never really had the desire to get them done. Then I realized, hey, I can do that! The more I thought about it, the more it felt like I needed them. Well, me and my fiance Danny took a bus into Lancaster to check out a place called Pokerz. We we got in there I was really impressed. They keep the place clean and it looked really nice. We talked with the piercer, Steve, and we made an appointment after he won us over. We made the appointment for 2 weeks later on a Tuesday at 3 p.m.
Ok, fastforward to the day before the appointment., Monday. Danny comes home from work and tells me we need to reschedule because he had to work on Tuesday. I was a bit bummed but I understood. We call Pokerz and make the new appointment. On Tuesday, Danny got home from work early so we decided to get it done then because we had the entire day. We call Steve and tell him and he says its fine.
So we take a bus to the bank first to get some money, then we eat at Jack in the Box. Its important to eat before getting a piercing, I learned that the hard way. Anyway, then we take to bus into Lancaster and we find ourselves in front of Pokerz. I was so nervous. Danny had to wrestle me in there because at that point I just wanted to run. So we go inside and I fill out the forms Steve gave me. When I was done Steve went into the room and got some stuff ready. Me and Danny just stood there talking to the tattoo artist (didn't get his name though). Just a minute later Steve calls us in.
I just went for it. I took off my shirt and my bra, which surprised Danny because the biggest reason I want them done is because I've always been badly self conscious about my boobs. I just figured, he can't pierce them if I don't take them out so, whatever. He asked me what I wanted in the first time we went to check out the place and I told him whatever he thought was best, I can always change them when they heal, so he got out two 14G CBRs. He had me sit down and he put gloves on and then he cleaned the area with that orange stuff (can't remember what its called) then he had me stand up straight with my arms straight down to mark them. He took a minute to make sure they were straight then told me to look in the mirror and tell him what I thought. I asked Danny and he said they looked fine so I trusted that. I laid down, nervous as anything, and he put the clamp on. The clamp didn't hurt me at all but it did scare the life out of me. I asked him to give me a minute to calm myself down. Danny came and held my hand and then I was ready. He told me to take a deep breath in, and on the exhale, he pushed the needle through. It did hurt but honestly, not that much. After the jewelry was in it was fine.
Now for the second one. I told him I was nervous because I had read in multiple stories on BME that the second one hurt more. So we went through the same thing. Deep breath in and piercing on the exhale. I will say that for me, the second one did hurt more but not by much. We talked for a bit, I saw them in the mirror and just flipped out, he gave me a pamphlet with after care instructions and some pads to put in my bra and then we talked for a bit. It was $30 per nipple and we gave him a $20 tip. We left, went to Walmart and got Epson salt (they didn't have sea salt and Steve told me both would do fine), disposable cups to soak my boobs in for the soaks, and some Dial soap.
We got home and I just had to look at them. When I lifted my bra (I wore a sports bra to tone done the bouncing *highly recommended*) the rings moved up a little bit and my nipples started bleeding a bit but not bad. I gently rinsed them with warm water and they seem to be fine. If you want your nipples pierced I really think you should, as long as you do your research. The pain isn't that bad and you shouldn't let that hold you back if you really want it done.
