No introductions needed, only to say that I am a woman with rather large boobs, which I decided to have pierced about 2 months ago. I've only ever had my ears and nose pierced before but since breaking from a long term relationship and meeting new friends to introduce me to new experiences I decided to have my tongue pierced. That was MY first step into the wonderful world of piercing, I had opened a can of worms that then lead to me having my nipples done.

When I was deciding on the tongue I was adamant I was going to have both or one of my nipples done at the same time (might as well get it all out of the way) ha ha was I wrong! I'm afraid to say I woossed out at the last minute and only got the tongue. Then I went out to London for a day out and decided that it was time to go. I got to the studio and was disappointed to find out that due to all the tattooists being at a big convention they had to cancel the piercings for that day. 'It's a sign' I proclaimed 'I'm just not meant to have them done'. However I did book to go back the next weekend YEAY.

I went to the same piercing studio my friend (now boyfriend, piercing gets you men!) had been to for his, called Into You in London. The place is absolutely lovely, they do tattoos as well and it is a comfortable environment and nothing like the 'high street' studios covered in laminated pictures of dodgy images.

Being the second time and feeling like a 'pro' I actually managed to ask for the piercing myself (I was too scared to ask for my tongue so my friend had to ask for me, what a wooss eh?) "both nipples please", I purchased some cleaning soap and handed over my monies quicker then you can say 'Flash Lightning'. Off we go!!

We were both taken downstairs (he was having something done as well) into, what looked like, an operating room, clean, sterile and I felt safe. After she had finished with his piercing it was my turn, my friend (another girl who I hadn't actually known for long) came in with me to hold my hand, I was asked to take my top and bra off and relax. She put on her gloves on, prepared the needles and bars and got the marker pen out and started measuring and making sure the dots lined up, then it was time to lie down and get ready!

She pierced my right nipple first, after clamping I was told to relax and breathe in and out, which I did then.... F@*k..... that really hurt, although I think my friend made more noise and squeezed my hand more than I did AND she was only watching! I would love to tell you that it didn't hurt but it does - BUT only for a second. Once the first bar was in place everything was fine. I chose bars for preference (not really into BCR's as I think they make your nipples look like door-knockers). Then it was time for my left one, by the time it was clamped up again I had forgotten the pain of the first. I was soon reminded...... F@*&@!!K ....... in goes the second one. And that was it, all done and dusted! I had a look in the mirror and loved them, my friend also commented on how 'cute' they looked.

Now the fun was over I had to make my way home. I had come by train so after a bumpy ride in a black cab I started to make my way through the people traffic in Kings Cross station. I didn't realise how paranoid I would be about getting to close to people - I took me 10 mins to cross the road, dodging everyone in case they whacked my boobs. My friend tried to hug me coz I was getting a little upset but I couldn't have anyone come near me. Am I silly or what?!?

Anyway, long story short, they healed surprisingly quickly with minimal crustiness, cleaning them twice a day etc etc.'Touch wood' I haven't had any problems, apart from the fact my shower doors are small and I occasionally catch one (mostly the left) on the edge as I get out. Yeah its hurts but not for long. I would recommend bars as I find it easier to clean and they look prettier. For anyone who cannot decide whether to get one or both, please go for both as it looks better and will be easier than going back to get the second done another time.

I am now planning more piercings - researching Labia, Industrials, Labrets and stretching my ears so hopefully I will be posting more stories to help other people to make the right decision. I'm taking it faster then I ever thought I would and I strongly believe that piercing is a drug - once you get one done you are certain to look into what else you can get done.

My final thoughts on nipple piercing and in general are -

Make sure you clean them twice a day

Make sure the studio is clean and safe – if you don't like the look of it LEAVE IMMEDIATELY

Be warned that thin tops + cold weather = an obvious sign your pierced

Thank you for reading this and good luck in choosing your own piercing
