Everything was pre planned ever since I got my new job as sales assistant. I needed a new piercing to reward myself for working hard and acts as somewhat a rite of passage for me, turning to 20. I know, to many, it sounds ridiculous but to me it isn't. It is a leap from my normal facial piercing to something I do to my own body. Okay, I had my horizontal sternum before but that didn't count since it was screwed up. I wanted something lasting. Something most teens over here would squeak about. I have a good tolerance for pain but I wish to know more about it. Hence, nipple piercing was the best option.

Most of them only have one side of it pierced. All of them claimed it was the most painful piercing ever. I took that as a challenge.
So the plan was set. I saved up almost every cent I have for two weeks, curb myself from spending a lot and things were going my way. By Friday, 22nd December 2006, I had enough money for my anticipated piercing. It was a great feeling to earn something you desire. Unlike most kids out there, who are pampered and rich and have parents who support their every little whim. I am not as lucky. my passion is self-driven.
Mary, my best mate, accompanied me to the shop a couple of days earlier. It was Primitive Arts at level 4, Far East Shopping Center. We enquired for a lady piercer, Ratree, who also did her lips and septum way back. I called her up the next day and booked an appointment for the fateful Friday.
Every single day passed on with a smile on my face. I read up a whole lot about nipple piercing and asked my own friends, who are all guys, about it since they have the piercing. They all seemed to be giving me the same answer each time, it hurts a lot more than whatever piercing I had and I will not be able to do both nipples at the same time. I do admit, it does make me nervous and jittery. I don't wish to faint like a wuss halfway through it. It is embarrassing and I will not be able to live that up. Yes, I have a great expectation on myself in this area. Nothing affects my decision though, my mind is set and Friday was here.
Again, Mary accompanied me. My boyfriend was excited for me. In fact, he was always supportive of my modification decisions despite being reluctant at times. We reached Primitive and yes, Ratree was in. she chatted with us about forceps and surface bars. She really have a good knowledge and I feel good about the entire process that was coming up. I chose my barbell, silver and medium size balls. I was told to sign some stuff and paid for my piercing. We waited and chatted a bit more because someone else was in the piercing room, doing her navel.
It was my turn. We went into the room together. I allowed Mary to watched the process since she is an aspiring piercer. It is better to watch a piercing process first hand rather than in videos. Trust me, the experience is totally different.
First and foremost, Ratree showed me that all the needles; forceps and bar bells are newly opened from the package. She told me to remove my top and relax. I was rather nervous but pulled myself together. She also explained the aftercare and gave me 3 packets of saline solution and an instruction pamphlet to the after care. She clean the nipples with some solution, applied antiseptic cream around it and teased them to get them erected. She measured the diameter of the nipples, chose a suitable length barbell and did some markings. Next, the forceps were clamped to both nipples at once. This was it, I am getting two more piercing and my goal will be accomplished. The number of piercing will synchronize with my age, 20. She will be doing both nipples simultaneously. Ratree told me to breathe in and out.
I shut my eyes, calm myself and keep telling myself to embrace the pain, not fear it. The first needle went through. It was a sensational feeling that I would not mind repeating again and again. The same rush of adrenaline as when I did my sternum. It was not too painful. It was in fact, bearable. I didn't twitch or say a word until they were done. Ratree and Mary were so nice to keep encouraging me that I am doing well and they were impressed. In fact, I was impressed with my own ability too. My left nipple bled a little but it was not serious at all. Ratree cleaned the newly made holes and I was done. They looked amazing and I feel sexier with them in. she placed a bandage on the nipples and taped it up. I wore my bra, my top and yes, I was the happiest little girl on that very day.
Up to date, a week since they were done, they are healing very well. No pus, no crust or anything nasty. They feel good and didn't bother my lifestyle even one bit. I give my kudos to Ratree of Primitive Arts :)
