OK....I really am not the greatest with pain so I wanted to share my nipple piercing story to help any others unsure of whether or not to go through with it.

I already have a tattoo on my lower back and had nearly passed out towards the end of that, and after my b/f repeatedly telling me I would pass out getting my nipple pierced I was beginning to wonder.

However it also spurred me on to prove him wrong ;)

so a week ago today I decided would be the day, I made sure i ate during the day beforehand, and had a mars bar and a bottle of coke about 30mins - 15mins before to help boost my sugar levels (prevent passing out).

I went in and I was asked what I wanted in terms of jewelry, I went for barbells (they heal better as they don't get knocked), and in dark blue (it seemed a bit different)then I had to fill out the necessary paperwork, and then was taken into the studio for the girl to choose what length bar I should have depending on nipple size...which ended up being 12mm for me.

I then had to wait 15mins while she cleaned my jewelry in the autoclave....I was shaking the whole time, trying to keep myself calm, wishing someone would talk to me or something to take my mind off what I was about to do to myself.

Finally she came back and called my name and I was up..............she had me sit up which I wasn't expecting (people on here normally say they were laid down), and she began to mark up my nipples horizontally when i remembered I needed to tell her I wanted diagonals (to match my erect nipple shape) ;) hehe

After marking up she clamped my left nipple and sprayed numbing stuff on it.....I wasn't expecting that to sting but it did, then she got out the needle and told me to look away....so I did...one, two, three *FUCK*...but it was over....intense but done (the pain was where I expected it, just sharp through the nipple, enough to make me yell and screw up my eyes and clench my fists)....then she marked up the right and did the same, I was expecting it to hurt more but it was on parr really...another "fuck" and it was all over....I couldn't believe it, no passing out....no watering eyes...nothing!

Even the girl told me I was brave for tackling both in one sitting though, so I definately felt quite proud!

She plastered me up, and told me how to look after them which luckily I had read up on, as I missed what she said as my adrenaline was still rushing....I didn't even realise i didn't look at them before I left until I got home later on....then had to wait like 4 hours til the first water rinse.

They ached for a few hours after intial piercing, like the kind of ache when your nipples are too cold.....nothing too intense, I was able to walk around town after for about 30mins, and drive home too without any pain from the seatbelt.

I will say though initially it does suprise you how much your boobs move with you when you walk...as that causes a bit of aching!

My b/f totally hadn't thought I'd go through with it, and was even more suprised that I'd done both (mwuahahaha).

They had bled a bit by the time my 4/5 hrs later wash came, but not that much, and bled a teeny tiny bit the next day.

I was doing rock salt soaks and using the cleaning solution that was given to me.

I use cotton buds to clean round the piercings as they get right in close and are very easy to remove any crustyness or anything off the bars, and make sure you buy some tissues or something to dry them off with, as towels hold bacteria.

Now I am down to once a day cleaning, and in the right bra I don't feel them at all, it seems any that are a bit tight make my right one itch a little.

Since then they haven't even leaked anything at all, and the swelling has gone right down, my b/f thinks they're fab and so do I....they are lovely and sensitive ;) and I'm really glad I proved him wrong by not passing out....he's got one pierced nipple and kept telling me before how he went pale (and he's good with pain).

It REALLY isn't that bad....and I am a wuss....so anyone scared out there....I'd just say go for it, it's not what you expect!

Also I recommend (I think her name is Mia) at Blue Banana in Plymouth, UK.....they seem perfectly placed....I've had no problems whatsoever....and at a week old they could easily pass for being 3 or 4 weeks old!

I love my new nipples!!!!!
