Then one day I found guts to get the piercing that I always wanted- a nipple piercing.
I logged onto my and went straight onto BME and had a look at the pictures, and read a few of the stories and started to get really excited about it! It was something that I had to do!!
When my hubby came home, I asked him for advice as well. He has both of his nipples pierced, and we both love them. His boss pierced his nipples for him, and he has never had any problems. ....
Anyway back to me! I still had a doubt in my mind. I couldn't actually picture myself getting my breasts out for a complete stranger. I just couldn't do it! Also I didn't know of any really good piercing studio in my area, so i had a think then I asked my hubby whether he would consider piercing them for me!
He then went and asked his boss for advice, and then he went on the internet and got some 14 g needles which had a catheters attached to them. We then done some more research on the net so we knew exactly what we were doing, and we got the rings for my piercings- two titanium rings.
Anyway the needles finally came, and when my husband came home from work we sterilized the rings, cleaned the work top and then spent ages looking at my right nipple, before cleaning my nipple and marking the entry and exit point.
We then both got very nervous and went back on BME looked at some more pictures, read some more stories about peoples experiences and then cleaned my nipple again.
I then sat down, and my husband looked at me and asked me whether i was sure. I gave him a nod and he slowly started pushing the needle in. I took a breath and the pain hit me! He stopped and looked at me and said ' I can't do this'. I told him that he couldn't just leave me with a hole in my nipple, so he then gave in and started pushing the needle through more.
By this point I was in loads of pain, and I couldn't stay still. The needle finally came though the other side and he pulled the needle through out, leaving the catheter in. He then attached the ring to the catheter and pulled it through. He then attached the ball to the ring, and it was done!!
I sat and looked at it for a few seconds and then I went really dizzy. I felt like I was going to pass out! I then spent the next 10 minutes with my head between my knees, until my head was clear again!!
We then sat and looked at it and noticed that the piercing was slightly deep on one side. It had gone slightly into the areola which apparently isn't good! My husband said that it needed to be done again, but i was happy with it, it wasn't too deep so i made him leave it!
We decided that we would do my left nipple the next night, as we just couldn't face doing both in one night!
The left nipple did hurt more, and it bled loads, but the whole procedure was quick as i controlled myself a bit more and my husband was more confident and it only took a few seconds.
This time it was perfect and I didn't go dizzy!
I followed my husbands bosses advice and cleaned my nipples 3 times a day with antiseptic wipes, and so far they have been fine. They were very painful for about 2 weeks, but that was to be expected.
I've had them done for a month now, and I love them so much! Yes one is deeper then the other and isn't perfect, but its OK. I may get it re pierced one day, but I'm happy with how it is at the moment!!
My nipples can be slightly sore, and I still clean them regularly as they are not yet healed. Apparently it can take a long while for females nipples to heal due to hormone levels continuously changing, mine seem to be healing quickly though.
Would i recommend nipple piercings? Of course I would! I love them! They look great and they feel great!!
However i will add that the best way to get your nipples pierced is by a professional. Only do home piercing if you have done lots of research, and are very very confident! I was lucky that my right nipple only went slightly wrong. It could have been a lot worse! This is why you should leave it to the professionals really!
