I'm here to tell you guys the story of my first piercing besides my ears.
Before I begin let me tell you a little about myself. I still live in my mom's house (I am a "basement bum") so I'm technically not allowed to have any pairings besides my ears, and according to my mother I am not allowed to have them gauged but I still got away with that. Because of my mom's unfair way of restricting my freedom of expression I only have gotten away with very very slowly gauging my ears to a half inch (every time I've done it I told her I wouldn't go any bigger) and my nipple (because nobody else can see that I guess).
On to the story!
It was a Wednesday evening, and after a full day of bragging to all of my peers at school about how I'm was going to do it, I felt very obligated but I was still eager to do it. I was up in my room and I had to hide from my crazy nazi mother. I filled up and Ice bag and heard her coming so I had to run upstairs to hide my piercing supplies. I wrapped everything I had into a tight blanket and dropped it out of my window so I could go pick all of it up and do the procedure in the basement where my brother and his girlfriend where. I'm really into play pairings because I love the feeling of a needle going through my flesh so that gave me another reason to be eager for my newest metal appendage! I boiled the needle then iced my nipple for about 5 or 6 minutes all downstairs in the basement so my mom wouldn't have any sneaky suspicions in her head. I was finally ready to go threw with it.
After about 10 minutes of talking to my brother's girlfriend Bridgett, She agreed to do it for me. I almost couldn't stand the ice any more because the temperature had made my nipple so numb King-Kong could have given me a titty twister. So with my nipple hard as a stone I grabbed a towelette out of the bathroom and took a big bite and told her to go. She pushed really heavily, but evenly so to make sure it would be a straight piercing. I really trust Bridgett so I wanted her to do it and not my brother because he would be shaky. It took a little bit and the pain was pretty bad if I can recollect.(Remember I didn't have a hold of a hollow needle so I had to use a sewing needle.)
After about 2 and a half minutes of pushing the needle finally went all the way in and Bridgett gave me a big hug and I said "Its okay I'm fine". I didn't have any 18g or 16g rings so I did something stupid and put an eraser at the end of the needle and left it in there. I left it in for about a week before I could pop a 14g in there. That hurt so bad I almost cried but I forced it in there and made sure to do sea salt soaks 3 times a day and went on to further treatments until about a month ago.
It looks great and besides "I still love it" I don't know what else to say. I encourage professional piercing but doing it at home isn't as bad as a lot of people say. It must have not hurt so bad considering I only remember that it did hurt, and I don't remember the actual pain of the process.
As soon as I move in with buddy Chris I'm getting my first two tattoos at the same time and nostril punched down to a 2g.
If you ever want a semi-exotic piercing, I definitely recommend the nipple. It's not that bad for guys and I'm not so sure about girls (pain wise.) I look at it as a great piercing because you wont is labeled as a freak (not that I would care, its the mother.) and not to mention how original it is in a place where body art is unheard of. One thing you must know before you go threw with the procedure is to not try to shove anything if it hurts to bad like I did. You'll have enlarged nipples and you might gain a new nickname like fat nipple!
If your thinking about it, just go for it and give it a shot, and you can take my word for it, it is not a piercing that will get old in a few days/weeks. Mine has grown on me and I love it more every day.
