I'd decided ages ago to get my nipples pierced, after discovering the needle bug :p, but it wasn't until the beginning of this week that I thought I would ever really get round to it: I mean, nipples are a bit more of a sensitive place than an ear or belly! My boyfriend and I had had a huge fight, but when we made up, we both decided that we needed a fresh start. Fresh start, new piercing. That's my logic, anyway!

Those things are absolutely wonderful for upping your sugars before getting punctured. I took some cherry coke with me too, so I could drink something afterwards. Keeping your blood sugar up for a piercing really is more important than I can say- passing out is NOT fun!
I was expecting the piercing to be either £25 or £30, from past experience with the studio, but it turned out it was £20 for one, or both for £35! The guy at the counter did try and sell me the 'two for £35' offer, but I stuck with just the one- I can only do one new hole at a time, thank you! Especially in a 'new' and more delicate place.
I payed my £20 and went upstairs. There were a load of guys chatting about which flower their mate should use on his first tattoo, and flicking through the flash that was on the walls. When Max had finished showing them some examples, and explaining a bit more about freehand designs, she called me through to the piercing room. I sat on the bed/couch thing, and she asked if I wanted a bar or a ring. I asked for a ring, because for one, I can't get the bloody balls in/out of a ring, and also bars were less likely to get caught on things like clothes. She then asked which colour I wanted, and I asked for pink. I'd previously wanted a pink bar in my vertical labret, but they didn't have it, so I thought I may as well get one now!
Max then gloved up and got the equipment out of the packets. She measured me, and decided on a fairly small bar (I think it's 1.6mm) as I only have small nipples. As she was marking me up, I asked if I could have it diagonally. She was surprised and told me that not many people 'go outside the box' and marked my nipple with that amazing purple pen. It was slightly off, so she re-did the marking, got me to check and it looked absolutely perfect! So off we went.
The clamps were put on my little nipple, which I barely felt to be honest, then sprayed the supposed numbing stuff on me (I personally think it's a placebo- never seems to work on me, so there we go!), which certainly made my nip perk up a bit more, hehe. I was then asked to take a deep breath in, and she pushed the needle through as I let it out. OUCH! I said a few rather unsavoury words at that; it surprised me how much it hurt. The feeling definitely made me sweat a bit, and my nipples aren't sensitive at all! The pain was more of a 'burn' than the usual pinch. It was quite odd, which I suppose made me a little more aware of it. Makes me feel bad for people with a lot of sensitivity...
Another deep breath in and out and the jewellery was in. That was almost as bad as the piercing itself, but when I saw it, it was totally worth it! A gorgeous new piercing in the perfect place. Wow. I really am pleased with it, and I love the placement. I've not seen many people or pictures with a diagonal piercing.
Max covered it up so it wouldn't rub, and I thanked her and got dressed. I had to walk home, which was a bit unpleasant- I was clutching my breast all the way and got some funny looks from people, hehe...
I've had it for just over 2 hours now, and I'm in love. I'm so, so glad I got it pierced, as I think it really compliments my breast. Hopefully I'll sum up the courage to get the left side done, which apparently hurts more (or at least, the majority seem to think so), so wish me luck!
I hope this experience has helped anyone reading it to make a decision on this amazing piercing. Even though it is pretty painful, it really is worth it in the end :)
