I had already bought a few nipple covers last week since I was so determined to get them both done, which I'm glad I did, because if I just had one done I wouldn't go back for the second one.
But I had previously been pierced at a shop in the Indooroopilly shopping center, it was Deborah's Nails and Piercing, very pricey and it's only good if the current body piercer takes their work seriously, but unfortunately the first body piercer didn't so I had a lump on my navel and then spent lots of money on Cell Treatments which stung like hell and did nothing to help, and the second body piercer who pierced my labaret wasn't so bad, but Shelley (the third body piercer to go through that place since I began having piercings done) was far by the best body piercer. She had previously done my tongue and nose for me.
Then one day she had informed me that she was opening a shop at Cannon Hill with her partner who is an exceptional tattoo artist, so now there shop has been open for roughly six weeks and they are doing very well.
So after much waiting at home and nerve racking thought I rocked up this afternoon and Shelley was all prepared for me, I followed her into the piercing room as did Dan, who stood holding my bag in the corner, I told her that I wanted both done, she was excited about this. To calm me down she asked about the gig I had gone to a few days ago and just general chat.
I hoped up on the chair and let her mark me out, this was very weird for me cause I am very self conscious about the way my body looks, I looked over to the right side of me and noticed that I could see people in the waiting room, Shelley noticed this and laughed but reassured me that even though I could see out they could not see in.
So with both my nipples marked out Shelley clamped my left nipple.
"Are you ready?" she asked me.
I took in a deep breath and exhaled "Yup," I replied nervously.
I clenched onto the chair with my hands as she pushed the needle through, I screamed in my mouth, I had never felt such a crude pain, I started to feel sick.
She quickly ran around the other side and repeated the procedure, and again I screamed in my mouth, I was really starting to feel like shit at this point.
I took a shuddered breath in and told her I thought I was going to pass out and I did feel that way, I felt sick, my ears were ringing and my head was becoming cloudy, Dan walked over to help keep me awake as Shelley cut the needles down and took them out as well as the little tube and did the bars up and put patches on them which i held in place and she went to get me a cold coke to drink to bring my levels back up, she also brought in a fan to cool me down cause even though I was very pale I was really really hot.
She taped them up and told me how to look after them, salt bath them twice a day, spray them then patch them up with nipple pads that new mummies use to cover their nipples during breast feeding. Also Shelley said they shouldn't be touched for at least two weeks and I should keep the bars in for at least six months before I even think of changing them over to anything else.
So Dan and I drove back to his house, every bump in the road vibrated up through the car and killed my nipples, but it was all worth it, they look amazing and I do not regret having them done, the pain has subsided a lot, but I have taken two painkillers that are also for subsiding swelling and redness which is good and now I just have to hope I don't hurt them in my sleep tonight!
I recommend anyone in the area of Inala, Cannon Hill or anywhere close to go to Dark Magik and have Shelley pierce them, she is the most wonderful person who really cares about her customers and she is the most awesome and gentle piercer.
