I had been really interested in body piercings and couldn't find anything that I really wanted. Until, I read about nipple piercing experiences, and I thought 'why not MY nipple'? But I kept quite about it thinking that I would never go through with it anytime soon. But one day in class, me and a group of friends were talking about piercings, and I said 'I want my nipple done' and my mate Ashhole (nickname) said 'me too,' so we decided to go in get them done together with our other mate Diane.

(Another friend had got their tongue and navel pierced there before, and it had a good website and you could email them with any questions)
Ashhole wanted to go to another studio, so we decided to go to hers first cause she wanted to go first, so we found her studio, she was given an appointment time, (and had to go back in 2 hrs or something like that) so we set off finding my studio. Turns out we had no idea where we were going, an hour later after walking past the studio a couple of times after not noticing it, we noticed it.
So me, Di and Ashhole went in. I think it had a couple of people in there looking round and stuff, but I walked up to the counter with Di and Ashhole following me. I was really nervous but there was a guy behind the counter that was really nice. He asked whether he could help us, and me being nervous banged on the counter extremely loud *cringe* to somehow distract myself from my nervousness and then announced to the shop that I wanted my nipple pierced.
The guy was all cool, and was like 'Timm will be doing it, fill in this form' And so we sat down and I filled in the form asking me whether I was taking medication or whether I'm prone to fainting, etc. He asked whether I was getting a bar or ring, I had decided earlier that bar was better.
Well Timm came out and me and my friends followed him behind a wall, he told me to take my top off, I put my stuff down and I asked my friends to go back to the waiting area while I sorted my shirts out, and I was going to call them back in when he was going to put the needle in after measuring, etc.
Well I took my shirts off but put back on my hoody that had a zip right down the middle. He told me to sit up on this bench/bed thing. If I was just 5cm taller, I wouldn't have struggled to get up, but since I wasn't 5cm taller I struggled to get up but when I did get up all was good. So he got all his measuring thing (not sure what its called) and measured and marked my left nipple. (It was quite weird having a guy writing on my nipple) but I got over that.
He passed me a mirror and I checked it out, all looked good so I laid down and he pulled out and unwrapped all his equipment. He put the clamps on my nipple, and I thought 'oh that doesn't hurt much,' but that was before he put them on properly and they were straight etc. Then it was like 'Holy shit, fuck that hurts,' but I got over it.
He told me to breathe in and breathe out, then he put the needle in. To be honest I cant remember the pain from that part, I remember it hurt, but I couldn't remember the pain, if that makes sense. He put the bar in and he wiped away a drop of blood, and I stood up and took a look in a large mirror, it looked great! He stuck a bandage on it, and explained how to clean it etc. I put my top back on. He gave me a small clear plastic bag that had cleaning instructions and sea salt in it, and told me to go back if I wanted them to change the jewellery or if I had questions, which was great.
So I pulled out my wallet and paid him. I went out to see my friends, I had forgotten to call them back in!!! I had decided not to put my bra back on, cause I thought my boob had gone through enough, Bad Decision! As soon as I stepped out of the store, I could feel the pain. (Slightly good and slightly bad pain)
Then we had to find Ashhole's place that was going to pierce her. And walking through Christchurch lost, after just getting nipple pierced without a bra on, was Hell! In the end, I didn't care what people thought I just grabbed my boob so it could be supported and walked on. When we got to Ashhole's studio, I put my bra on and it felt so much better. (I don't know why I didn't do it at Absolution.)
After catching a couple of buses we went into a public bathroom and I pulled off the bandage halfway, and it still looked great. I followed all the cleaning instructions and it still looks great one month on. Last week, I got my right nipple pierced at the same place by the same guy Timm. He made me very comfortable each time. And I'm getting another piercing there in 3 days which I will put on BME too.
So if your scared of the pain, you will get over it, it's only for like a couple of seconds. You never know, you might enjoy it. :)
