I had always wanted to get a different piercing. The only other piercing I had before was just "normal" ear piercings. I didn't have any tattoos, either so I wanted to do something a little wild. I mentioned to my boyfriend that I had always found nipple piercings sexy. He really then encouraged me to go for it and get them done. Even offered to pay for it. So of course I took him up on it. These piercings were something I could hide from public view due to the fact that I knew my parents would not approve of them. I was still living with them at the time so I had to play by their rules.

One of my boyfriend's friends from work had recommended the place to us because the guy's mom had got her nipples pierced and was very happy with the professionalism of the place. We checked out the place and found it to be very clean and professional. Piercing both nipples would be only $60! I've heard of places that charge $60 for just one nipple, so I was stoked. We asked about setting up an appointment and the guy there just told us to walk on in and then gave us the hours when the place would be open.
My boyfriend and I went in that weekend to get it done. It wasn't very busy at the place so they got right to me. I went to a room with the piercer and my boyfriend, took off my bra and sat on the chair. I was sweating up a storm because I was so nervous about it. I lifted up my shirt and the piercer made marks to wear he'd pierce and showed me to get my approval. The whole time I really wasn't self conscious at all. I never really had any hang ups about people seeing my naked body. It's not that I run around naked all the time but having my breasts out in front of a total stranger just never really made me nervous. I was more nervous about the pain from the piercings than anything else.
He put on gloves and set out the piercing equipment. I held my boyfriend's hand for comfort and looked away when he clamped my nipple to get them pierced. The clamp really didn't hurt at all, it just felt a bit uncomfortable I really hate watching needles go through skin. It freaks me out and I've always had a slight phobia of needles. The piercing itself hurt a lot less than I thought it would and was over fairly quickly. I did cry out a bit but more so from the surprise than anything else. The second piercing was a bit deeper than the first one so it hurt a bit more, but still not as bad as I thought it would be. I got 16 gauge piercings which were perfect since my nipples are on the small side. From looking around the Internet, I've seen people get theirs done with larger gauges, but I like the way I can hide mine and yet they still look sexy to me. It hurt a bit when the piercer was closing up the rings with the ball. We never really sat down to talk about what kind of jewelry I would be getting. It was fine with me. My boyfriend and I both found rings to be sexier than barbells.
And with that, it was over. The piercer gave me instructions to wash the piercing three times a day with antibacterial soap and use betadine on it once a day. My boyfriend paid the $60 to the guy and we left to go to the local pharmacy to pick up the supplies. There was a little blood on the gauze bandages that the piercer had put on before but not an ungodly amount. The piercings I got weren't exactly congruent; like I mentioned before, the right piercing was deeper than the left one, but overall, I'm extremely happy with them. They're unique.
The soreness afterwards hurts a lot more than the actual piercing part of it and it still hurts when I move the piercings to much. It's been a couple of days now and my nipples are feeling a lot better, I just have to be careful not to bump them against things. My boyfriend bought me a sports bra so I wear that to bed so the piercings won't rub everywhere. During the day I usually just walk around topless so they can just air out and so I can give my boyfriend a nice show. I can't wait until three months are gone by so I can get some new jewelry for them. I was looking online at nipple shields and my boyfriend and I both agree that they're extremely sexy. Many of them are gauge 16, too!
