Alright, so about a month ago, I met this guy - Nutzo (Ontario folks might have heard of him: edge freak show contest?). He offered to pierce my second/right nipple for free (or, erm in exchange of back massages and such), I agreed simply because he's really sexy? Aha...yeah, I'm a loser.

So I get there and to my surprise he pulls out professional equipment, sanitizes all surfaces, clean latex gloves, freshly opened needles and cleaned and sanitized jewelery. I started getting hopeful, he seemed like he definitely knew what he was doing. This was very relieving. So he cleans the nipple with a paper towel soaked in this solution that he claims that "doctors use to scrub up before going into surgery" - it seemed decent. He marks the nipple evenly on both sides with a surgical pen - two tiny dots that line up on each side, it took him a while because my left nipple (already pierced a year ago) was at a slight angle pointing inwards towards the middle of the chest and he wanted the other one (the right one) to point in as well, so that it did not look abnormal. Then he clamps it down with his clamps, pierces it through quite quick with a 14 g needle, without counting down as I had requested. He just as swiftly puts in the barbel - next to no pain at all. (I tend to prefer the barbels - because they make the healing time so much shorter. Also, you can avoid the additional pain that you get when a nipple ring gets caught on something). So now I have both my nipples pierced with a 14 gauge barbel, the first nipple that was pierced is all healthy looking and the barbel fits quite snugly and comfortably. And on the other side is this freshly pierced nipple with a longer barbel, "to allow for swelling" and all red. I'm thinking, 'this is wonderful, I now have both my nipples pierced'. The pain wasn't much of a factor for me, at least up to this point.

So I go home, and perhaps it has the amount of mary jane and ketamine I was doing in those 2 weeks - but I seriously didn't notice how poorly it was pierced until almost 2 weeks later. It's very hard to explain (I don't think that it has ever happened to anyone else before). Basically, when you pierce a nipple it goes through one side of the 'nub'(the 'nub' being the little hard button in the middle of your nipple that stands erect when your cold) and out the other side of the nub'. What he ended up doing was, piercing it through one side of the nub and then it exited past the nub on the other side, making it sort of like a surface piercing almost, like it went in deeper the further along the piercing you went (it was still within the diameter of the actual nipple though). I believe this happened because, he was simply just trying to get the right angle so it would match on both sides.

So I call him up (it has been two weeks since it has been pierced), and tell what's going on and he apologizes and tells me to take the barbel out and come over next week. At this point this nipple has been pierced all fucked up for 2 weeks and has been healing over the wound for the one week that the barbel was out and is barely hurting if at all. After taking out the barbel I was just hoping that it would still be able to drain any fluid inside and/or clean itself kind of thing. I think it was successful, in the sense that it definitely wasn't infected, just a little painful.

Now, it's been one week and I am at his place again, going through this procedure again. The sanitizing, the gloves, the needle, the cleaning of the area and jewelery, the marking of the nipple, and the eventual piercing. Except it was much different. In the sense, he was much more careful and it sits perfectly now. However, I don't think I have ever encountered so much pain in my entire life. I mean I've had both my nipples pierced, and the first time getting any piece of skin pierced was never painful to me at all. However, this made me actually flinch and cuss out loud and want to punch him in the face. DO NOT GET PIERCINGS THROUGH FRESH SCAR TISSUE! It was as if concentrating ever time I've ever had pain in my life and focusing it upon this one spot. Just the clamp alone was more painful than when I had actually gotten my nipple pierced for the first time! However, it's been about 3 days since then, and it's healing quite well - very high in pain and still bleeding some. But I guess, that's what you get for repeircing through scar tissue.

Enjoy
