I've been flirting with the idea of getting my nipple pierced for quite some time. It's a piercing that's always made me go "wow". It looks so feminine and is almost like having a little secret. Because of various reasons I've never got around to having it done. My ex boyfriend doesn't like piercings and practically forbid me to have it done. However, as I say he's now my ex =]

I was talking on MSN to my best friend, Cherie, one day last week and she suddenly goes, "I'm going to get my nipple done next week, do you want to come with me?" I of course thought to myself, "now's the chance!" We talked about it and arranged it for the coming week. We decided to go to Modern Savage because I had an industrial done there a few months back - and I've had tattoo work done, as have my mum and uncle - it's a place I really trust. Also they don't over charge like most places in Leeds!
We arranged to go on Friday 28th, but that soon changed and we decided to go 2 days earlier on the Wednesday. She came round to my house at 12 and we set off to catch the bus into Wakefield. It took about 25 minutes and my nerves were getting the better of me. I kept saying, "Oh God, oh God...". Cherie really helped relax me though and told me it would be fine. I was nervous because I had no idea of what sort of pain to expect, I knew it was going to hurt though.
We got into Wakefield and made the short walk from the bus station down to the studio, we kept chatting about what to expect and also I hadn't made my mind up as to what placement I wanted - horizontal or vertical. Cherie had decided she wanted a vertical with a bar. I liked the idea of vertical more too.
We arrived at the studio and went downstairs. Dave was busy doing a tattoo, but Stoggy was there and came and asked us what he could do us for, I said, "we want our nipple's pierced". He asked Dave how long he would be with the tattoo, he was going to be a while so Stoggy said he'd "do" us. He got the equipment out and led us upstairs to the other room.
He took us in and closed the door, he talked to us about what we wanted and Cherie explained she wanted it vertical. Then he set up the equipment and put on gloves. I made her go first, so she sat down, and he said to her, "show the rabbit to the dog then!" (Yorkshire term, lol) It made us both laugh and put us at ease in a way.
She took her top and bra down and he cleaned the area with brown disinfectant stuff. Then he wiped it dry and made the nipple "stand up", he then got the needle ready and out of the pack, layed it down and put the clamps on her nipple. Then he picked up the needle and told her to breathe, then he pierced it through. Just like that. Then he threaded the bar bell through the tube. He put a dressing over it and she was done. I held her hand while she was having it done and I had nail marks, so I was even more nervous because I knew it hurt her a lot.
When I saw Cherie's I decided that I'd like it doing vertical too because it did look nice and appealed to me more than a horizontal placement.
My turn. He sat me down and I pulled my top and bra down. He cleaned the area and put on a new pair of gloves (he had taken off the ones he used on Cherie once he'd done her piercing). He opened the needle from the pack and clamped me, then he brought the needle up to the bottom of my nipple...

Oh my God. It hurt me so much. It was the most intense burning pain and it felt like the needle really did not want to go through. It felt like it had "snagged" or got stuck inside, so this hurt me more because he had to use more force to get it out through the other side. He confirmed this and said, "that didn't wanna go through", I replied "I've got tough nipples, huh?" I was sat for a few seconds with the threading tube in my nipple and dared to look. I knew the next bit would hurt and it did. The bar bell went through the tube and it felt like I was been nipped really hard. But, it was over in a second and the ball was screwed on and I was done.
I looked down and I asked if the bar bell was okay - referring to the length of it. It looked short to me, but he said it was fine and there's plenty of "give" on it. It wasn't hurting that much, just a sort of tender sting, like joggers nipple. He patched me up and I was good to go.
He told us to bathe them twice a day with salt water and to just leave them be and not play with them, etc. We paid £15 each and made our way home. We had a walk around Wakefield first to get some air and we went into a cafe and had some water. The bus ride home was very eventful, speed bumps are a nightmare and you never realise how much your boobs move until there's a shiny bit of metal through them!
Well a day on and it's looking good, there's very little pain and it isn't too swollen, I do have some concerns about the length of the bar, but I'm just going to keep my eye on it for a few days.
Anyone wanting their nipple doing, go for it. Sure it hurts, but having metal shoved through a body part generally does =]
