My god! I can't believe I've finally had it done. After about 6 months of talking about it "I've had my nipple pierced" :D
At A Glance Author dancer Contact dancer@bme.anon When It just happened Artist Holly Studio jazz piercing Location eastbourne I've always had an interest in piercing. I had my navel done and then my tragus a while back. Both of the piercing healed wonderfully. However I've always had to be careful of the visibility of the piercing. I sing and dance (Ballet, Tap, Modern) and am into musical theatre and after gaining a place at a stage school I thought my piercing days were over. However, after a friend of mine told me about someone who had had there nipple done, I was intrigued.
After searching endlessly though pages and pages of stories about the piercing, I decided to go ahead with it. After all I could cover the piercing if wanted to, and I thought it looked really sexy.
Next step was convincing my boyfriend. His reaction was "you will ruin your boobs!". Hmmm not the reaction I was looking for really. As a dancer I am quite petite and my boobs are pretty tiny too. I thought it would look quirky as people wouldn't expect it on me. I showed him lots of pictures of girls with small boobs with there nipple pierced and began to win him over, (yes). He said "yeah I guess it would look pretty cool on you, I just don't want it to look tacky". So after this conversation it was decided I was defiantly getting it done.
The day was all planned I would go over with my friend and she would hold my hand. However the morning I woke up to have it done, my friend text me and said she couldn't come as she had work. So alas the date had to be put back.
A few days later I got a text in the morning from her which woke me up, "ready to take the plunge?" I hadn't thought about it the night before or prepared myself but thought what the hell might as well. Text her back "eeek go on then".
Next thing I know, I'm in Jazz piercing in Eastbourne, signing a consent form. The room was full of people. One girl came out after just having her tongue pierced and my friend had her conch done which looked pretty. After a few nerve racking minutes I was called in. I decided to go in on my own for a little bit of privacy. Holly the piercer was lovely. I asked her if she had hers done and yes said yeah. She said "I'm not going to lie to you its pretty painful" I asked "which one of your piercings hurt the most" ... (she was covered in piercings) she replied "I hate to say it mate but my nipple was the most painful). Great!! I thought.. Oh well I'm here now so there's no going back.
I had major butterflies. I undid my cardigan and slipped it down to my waist and then my bra. Holly made it so much easier and I didn't feel at all embarrassed. She spent a long time cleaning my nipple and making sure she marked me straight and checked if I was happy with her markings. Then I laid down on the bed.... She asked me if I had eaten anything that day to make sure my blood sugar levels were ok. I said "yep" and then the piercing process began.
Holly said ill try and make this quick. She clamped my nipple which didn't hurt at all and then said feel free to swear. She spoke calmly, "right breath in and 3,2,1..." SHIT was my first thought. It did hurt a lot but it was a weird sort of pain it didn't seem to be in my nipple more my whole body. Right she said "the piercing is done now I'm putting the bar through". Now girls or blokes this is the bit that hurt the most I'm not going to lie to you it was so painful but after a few swear words it was over very quickly due to hollys fantastic piercing technique.
I took a few seconds to compose myself and then I looked down. It looked awesome. It was perfectly straight and glinted in the light. It didn't look tacky at all!!! I couldn't believe I had done it ! I stood up and heard my friends knocking on the door. I gave them a quick flash and they said oh my god it looks wicked!!! Holly put a pad on my nipple to protect it. I slipped my clothes back on and had a bite of chocolate to help me settle my nerves. After paying we discussed after care. She told me to do two sea salt soaks a day then said its easier if you use this. It was the ready made solution. She gave it to me free as she said I handled the piercing well! She also said to use savlon spray on it too.
Now I can't stop looking at it I keep peeling the pad back and having a peek. Ill try and update this story on the healing process. At the moment it feels fine apart from a few stinging sensations every now and then. Im so happy with the piercing and I want to recommend holly from jazz she was awesome.
If your thinking of having this piercing done, I'd say go for it. It looks awesome. It does hurt but its worth the pain!
Happy piercing people!!
