Before I start the story of my nipple piercing. I want to introduce myself to those of you who haven't read any of my other experiences. Anyways I'm an 18 year old girl and like most of you I have interested in body modification for years. I have already aquired 3 standard lobes (in each ear), a navel, an inverse navel, a nostril, a short lived tongue and a horizontal hood piercing. I have also aquired one tattoo. This all seems amazing to my friends since I have very anti-mod parents.My parents think only drugged out losers have piercings/tattoos, and have called me a loser because of my mods for years.Which is hilarious since I'm 18 and already have a full time carreer as an aesthetician. Oh well, what can you do.
At A Glance Author BlueBalloon Contact sweet_luv_xox@hotmail.com When It just happened Artist Ashley Studio Dragon Butterfly Tattoo Location Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Anyways on to the story of my nipple piercing.It had been 9 months since I had gotten my tattoo and a year since my last piercing and I was craving something new.I decided to check out BME, my favorite website, for some ideas.I looked through all the sections and finally wound up on the nipple section.I loved what I saw, the piercings looked so feminine and beautiful and I knew I had to have it.I had been interested in nipple piercings for a while and it has always been forgot and put on the back burner. Well, atleast until a week ago. I had recently received a big paycheque and like always it was burning a whole in my pocket,and I was in the need for some new holes and they were going to be through my nipples!
Now I needed to find a reputable shop to go to and I found that In Dragon Butterfly tattoo. I had been in there before and found the place extremely clean and friendly. Plus I didn't need to make an appointment which fits great with my hectic schedual. So today, July 9th, I decided it was finally time to get my piercing done. First I had to struggle through a boring as hell day at my job,then I met my boyfriend and we headed over. I walked in and after paying I was taken directly into the piercing room. It smelled like a hospital, which made me really happy, since I don't want an infection in my boobs! Anyways the apprentice piercer was in there setting up for my piercer Ashley. I was then asked if it was ok if the apprentice watched. Which I gladly oblidged too, since the best way to learn is to watch and be hands on.I then removed my shirt and bra and sat on the chair.I was wiped down with alcohol and relaxed. She opened all the needles, barbells and even the marking pen infront of me. She then took what seemed like forever marking me. She was definately a perfectionist. She the threw out the pen and her gloves and re-washed and re gloved her hands.Then I sat back and relaxed, which was easy since there was a waterfall and calming pictures on the walls.
Then the clamp was applied,which didn't hurt at all,and she asked if I was ready and the needle started through. The pain wasn't too bad, but as soon as the needle was through my first nipple, she stopped and looked at me and just said "you've got some tough nipples girl." Apparently I have fairly large ones as well lol. Then she put through the curved barbell and it was on to the other side. The process was the same on the other side, but the apprentice put in the barbell and screwed on the balls. My newly shiny nipples were cleaned and a protective cushion was taped on to give some added cushion.My photo was also taken to add to her portfolio. Ashley then went over the aftercare with me and gave me the same info on a piece of paper. I then tipped her 20$(what can I say I'm an aesthetician, I tip big) and left.
It's been about 5 hours since I'd been pierced and they are feeling great. No pain at all.I have washed them with anti-bacterial soap and a sea salt soak.I can't wait until they are fully healed so I can get some colourful barbells and shields to add to my collection of body jewlery.
I recommend this piercing to anyone. It's a beautiful piercing, but beware as I have found piercings and tattoos are highly addictive. I already have an appointment to get both my feet tattooed when I visit Quebec in September. I'm also planning a side lip piercing, but we will have to see what my boss says about that before I get it done. Maybe some vipers, and a monroe and maybe a smilie, but those are for another experience.
