I have always wanted to have piercings, but because of the safety regulations at the place I work, one is not allowed (except for ones ears) to have any piercing. So for my eighteenth birthday I decided I wanted t get my nipples pierced. I had my ears pierced when I was four with a gun, and I pierced my lobe a second time when I was at home bored one day when I was 15 with a needle, ice and toilet paper and my cartilage pierced when I was eleven in the mall at a party jewelry store, sadly again with a gun. I also had my nose pierced, by my cousin, when i was 16, we used her home piercing kit, but my ex-boyfriend did not like it so I took it out, and when we broke up the hole had grown over and I could not put another ring through it.

We looked at both our schedules and decided that the Saturday coming after I was finished work would be the best time to go. That Saturday Dylan, my boyfriend, met me at my work, but I had to stay late and we missed the bus that would take us to the piercing studio. We decided that we would walk there, and we arrived 40 minutes before the shop closed.
The lady at the front desk was really nice, she asked us for our ID, got us to sign the forms and we paid for out piercing. We were told the pierce would be out in a couple of minutes because he was just finishing up on the person that was there before us. When Tim, I think that was his name, came out he talked about the cleaning process and the signs of infection. He then took us back into the room and asked which one of us was going to go first. I decided I was going to go first.
He told me to take off my shirt and he left the room. When I was ready h came back in and put on a new pair of gloves and removed all the needles and jewelry and swabs from the packets, and got out a new marker. He sat me down on the bench and rubbed sanitizer stuff on my nipples, then he put dots on my nipples with the marker on asked if that's were I wanted the piercing to be. I said that the placement he chose was fine. Next he got me to lie down on the bench, and my boyfriend asked me if I wanted to hold his hand. I was not scared of the pain because I knew that it would not last long, but I held his hand anyways. Tim then talked me through the procedure and told me to inhale and exhale twice, on the third time he slipped the needle through my left nipple. I hardly felt any pain. Tim then said I might feel a little more pain as he out the jewelry through. After my left nipple was pierced he asked me if I felt okay, and made sure I was not dizzy. He then went through the same thing and pierced my right nipple. Once he as done I jumped up and looked at them in the mirror. I was so happy with them. Tim was impressed because I did not flinch at all or tighten up.
Next it was my boyfriends turn, and since he is the army he can't have and facial piercing but he also likes piercing so nipples and down below are his only options. Dylan took off his shirt and Tim went through the same procedure as he did with me. The only difference between my boyfriends and my nipple piercing was the pain that we went through, my belly button hurt more then my nipples did. I barley felt anything, but Dylan squeezed my hand so tight he almost broke it. Tim asked Dylan if he was okay to get his other nipple pierced. Dylan said that he was and Tim pierced the other one. Dylan did not squeeze as hard on his second piercing as he did on his first, but it still hurt my hand.
After we were done we gathered up our stuff and walked out, both very happy with our new piercing. We both followed the aftercare and cleaning tips that were given to us and neither of us has had any new problems, except when Dylan almost got his ripped out when he was doing hand to hand combat training, and I like to show mine off too much. I would like to get my nipples pierced vertically in a couple of months.
