I recently decided on a new body modification, and began thinking what I could get pierced that was not visible and since I already have 7 in my ears and a belly piercing , I decided on get my left nipple pierced. My boyfriend is a tattooist and they had recently got a male piercer called Mark who had twenty years experience, so I decide to give him a chance. I spoke to Mark and explained what I wanted. He agreed to pierce me and told me to come back in a week with my I'D.

Mark came out and said he was ready for me. He also allowed my boyfriend to be in the room which made me feel a lot less nervous. He sat me down and explained what was going to happen. He then locked the door to the piercing room and shut the blinds, making sure that no-one could see in. Mark explained that I would need to undo my bra so that my boob was hanging naturally, this would make sure that my piercing was straight. He asked me if I was comfortable enough to take my top off, and then explained that he did not look at people in a sexual way because he had seen everything a thousand times and was bored of seeing male or female body parts . This reassured me and I was comfortable enough to take my top off. He cleaned my nipple and then placed to dots on either side using a cocktail stick and ink, and made sure they were straight. He then asked me to lie down on the bed, as I was lying down he set up the clamp and needle, I looked around the room and noticed many certificates for piercing.
When Mark was ready to pierce me he told me just to relax and take a deep breath, as I did this he pushed the needle effortlessly through my nipple. He then told me to breath out, he asked me how that felt and I told him it did not hurt its just uncomfortable, when I looked down I seen the needle still in my nipple, I felt shocked at the fact their was a needle sticking through my nipple, but felt happy at the fact I had the confidence to get it pierced. He told me to lie back down so he could fit my jewelry. During the whole piercing I had not bled even a little bit.
Once I had been cleaned up and put my top and bra back on, he sat down beside me and explained how to take care of it. He told me to clean it using an antibacterial soap when washing it day and night but once a week to use salt and hot water to take any thing crusty away, but I could also do this when needed. I felt very happy with my new piercing.
My nipple was a bit tender for a day after but I still made sure that I kept it clean and made sure nothing was wrong. Mark told me to come back in a week so he could check it for me. When I went back he checked it over and told me that it was healing nicely and just to keep it clean.
The first day after
I woke up and went to clean my piercing, I was surprised to see that my piercing had not bled and was very clean, however I still washed in with antibacterial soap. It felt weird when I walked down and up stairs as my piercing was jiggling a bit. However I was not in any pain.
A week later
After a week, I had still been cleaning it and found that the balls were coming lose and visited Mark so that it could be tightened as I did not was to muck it up.
Its been 6 weeks since I had it done and I have experienced no problems at all with it. I have since visited Mark a few time since, while going to meet my boyfriend, every time I have been he has checked my piercing to make sure that it is still healing nicely and that there is no problem with it.
The only thing I experience with my piercing is that it tends to hurt if a ball falls off and your bar comes out, and you try to put it back in, simply because your piercing is new and is not fully healed. I would tell people who are wanting a nipple piercing just to go for it, there is a slight amount of pain but it is gone in a split second and that is the only pain you will feel while getting it pierced, and after it only hurts if you knock it really badly or try to change your bar. I would advise that you do not change your bar until it is fully healed.
I only have a few weeks left before I can take it out to change it. I am so excited to have a really pretty nipple guard on it as I think it will be beautiful. I would recommend Mark as a piercer as he is really experienced and is an amazing guy!!!!
