I think I first fell in love with nipple piercings when I was twelve, a kid on my bus had his done. I thought for a while that I might like to get mine done, but being twelve and having my parents I figured that it would be better to wait until I was eighteen. The boy who had them done moved soon after, and the piercing slipped my mind.

Last year shortly after I got my eyebrow redone (it rejected the first time) I decided that I wanted another piercing. I kept trying to convince my mom. I think I even tried to use the whole "what dad doesn't know wont hurt him" routine. After about half an hour of my begging she jokingly said, "Okay I'll take you to get your nipples pierced, right now." I jumped and told her I was ready to go if she would actually take me. She seemed shocked that I would even consider it. So yet again this beautiful piercing, which had amazed me since twelve slipped from my mind.

About a month ago I was looking on ebay and I came across a nipple piercing kit, so I discussed it with a friend of mine and we decided that we would do it together. Three days ago the opportunity came up and I went to stay with my friend. I laid on her bed and she used the forceps from the kit to clamp my nipple, she pushed the needle through on three and it hurt worse than any piercing I'd ever had prior to that. It turns out that she had pierced wrong and pushed it through the top of the nipple instead of the other side. My friend tried to pierce the other nipple again using the forceps, the same thing happened with the other one this one hurt even more then the first. After a minute of just sitting there trying to ride out the pain, my friend asked if I'd like her to try again without the forceps this time, I asked her if she thought she could do the piercing right without them, and she told me she thought she could.

So a couple of minutes later she went back cleaning all the materials and we got ready to try again. She had me lay down she positioned the needle and pierced on three, my friend had a hard time getting the needle through and this time it hurt about ten times more then the first time. We waited a few hours (during which another of our friends showed up: Michelle) and then she pierced the other one in much the same way, except this nipple hurt by far the worst out of all of them. The needle got stuck halfway through my nipple, and Michelle had to help push the needle through and put the jewelry in.After words there was some bleeding and I was pretty sore for a few hours, but I was fine the next day. Now it's been three days and the piercings look pretty good though a bit crooked at least their placed so that their even. There is still a bit of soreness when my bra rubs on the jewelry, but it's mostly gone now.

My friend decided that she still wanted her's done despite the pain that I had gone through. So we got out all the materials we would need and had my friend lay on her bed. I didn't want to risk hurting my friend or screwing up the piercing, so we decided that Michelle should do it (even though she had never done a piercing before either). SO Michelle got everything situated, and placed the needle. She started pushing it through on three, my friend was in so much pain that she had Michelle stop. What she didn't realize when she made Michelle pull out the needle was that it had gone all the way through and it was pierced. So my friend gave up on it, she wasn't willing to go through that again. She has said something about waiting until she's eighteen then going to a professional.

I love my new nipple rings which are captive bead rings, and I think they look really good considering the circumstances. Neither of my parents know about these piercings, in fact there are only about ten ten people tops that I have told about wanting this piercing.I would recommend this piercing to anyone who wants one, because it is truly a beautiful piercing. It's better to go to a professional, having anyone else can be a very dangerous and painful experience. And it's also a good way to get a bad infection, and some DIY piercings don't end up lasting very long. Either because of improper care or unsanitary piercing conditions or materials.
