The first time I had my nipples pierced was a not so pretty experience. The piercers was a complete pig and spent more time groping me then he did with the entire piercing experience. He didn't do a very good job, they were extremely crooked and one was pierced too close to the tip. Needless to say, the came out before they were even close to being healed. But today I decided I'd give it another shot.
At A Glance Author Brittany Contact Elloyah18@aol.com When It just happened Artist Frankie Morgan III Studio Captain Morgan's Tattooz Location Lewiston, ME My friend Michelle had gone to get her tongue done this morning and watching her made me think about the rush of getting something new done and so I decided I'd give it a shot one more time. I walked into Captain Morgan's Tattooz and Body Piercing's so see a shop full of rugged looking bikers having their tattoos worked on. This is the first time I have stepped foot in the shop since it moved last year. It was very clean and looked really nice. I walked up to the front counter and checked out the selection of body jewelry they had as I waited to be help. I was only a matter of minutes before I was greeted by Frankie, one of the shops piercers. I told him what I wanted done and he took my ID, made a photocopy and had my fill out a paper and went over the aftercare with me. We went back into the room where they do all of their piercings and he had me get comfortable and I explained to him my not so great last experience. He assured me that there would be nothing like that happening today. He was really professional about the whole thing. He listened to what I had to say about my last and more horrifying experience, and he told me that he felt really bad that I or anyone would have to go through that. He also told me that while he isn't one to trash talk other shops and all that, his girlfriend had told him of a bad experience she had at the same shop I had gone to my first time around.
Once I got my top and bra off and I was situated on the bench Frankie cleaned my nipples with a orangey solution he said would help to prevent infections, kind of like the stuff they use when you have a surgery. He then had my stand straight in front of him and he used a ruler to make the marks on either sides of my nipples. I was so impressed with this because in my last experience he just seemed to throw some random markings on there and call it good. Frankie commented on how crooked my scars where from my previous piercings and just made some general small talk to help me calm down. Once the markings where in place he opened all the new equipment and then the fun started. First he puts the clamp on, held the small blue rubber stopper on one side and told me to take a big deep breath and to let it out when I started to feel the pinch. For some reason it wasn't what I expected and I pulled back a little which didn't really help with the pain factor. I regained my composure as the jewelry was put into place. One down one to go. The atmosphere was all really laid back as he got my other nipple ready, he told me that most girls that come in say the second one hurts more then the first so not to jump and to try not to pull back this time because he wanted to make sure that they came out straight. It was done before I knew it and I have to say the second was no where near as bad a the first one. Frankie had me get up and look in the mirror to check them out. I was really impressed, they were as straight as possible and even this time! It didn't start to really hurt until after the rings were in but even then it was a dull stinging, nothing too bad.(I actually think that they seem to hurt more now, that it's been a few hours since I had it done.)
With it all said and over with I put my top and my bra back on and walked back out to the front with Frankie to meet Michelle. I paid him the $61 I owed and made sure to leave a nice tip for the good work. We went over the aftercare once more then it was time for us to go. I definitely think that my second experience was way better then my first and I'm very happy with my new metal, and I know for sure I will be recommending Frankie and Captain Morgan's to anyone who wants something done.
