About a month ago I was sitting home alone and decided I needed a nipple piercing. I researched for two days to make sure I really wanted it. Well I'm a small, short girl and I have small breast (a's) and my nipples are pretty much small as well but I went ahead and did it. I told my boyfriend and he didn't want me to do it but I did so...whatever.

A guy (can't remember his name) took us back to a tiny room and got everything ready. He was nice and I guess I was as comfortable as I could be. I took off my shirt and bra and he marked my right nipple. I decided on the right because it was very flat and I didn't like that breast at all. Then I sat down on the chair and he put the clamps on. The clamps kind of hurt and made me want to vomit for some reason. When it came time to put the 14g needle in, I looked at the ceiling and took deep breaths. We didn't count or anything so I wasn't sure when I was going to be stabbed. Oh my god it hurt so bad. I couldn't believe how much it hurt. He said it was over and he was going to put the jewelry in (ring). Putting the jewelry in was very uncomfortable. He told me to get the other one done but I just couldn't do it. It hurt too much and I am NO pansy when it comes to pain. He gave me a sheet with instructions on cleaning it and explained everything to me. Then I paid and tipped and my friend and I went on home.
My nipple burned pretty badly for about 3-4 hours. And I do mean BAD. After those 3-4 hours though everything was fine. That night I took a shower and cleaned it with anti-bacterial soap. It burned but it was nothing I couldn't handle. The healing process went great. All I did was clean my nipple twice a day with some dial rip off which was not the instructions so do what you're told! Don't play with it, don't let anyone else play with it and wash your hands before you touch it. Luckily, it has only been 3 weeks and it's completely healed. I've already changed my ring to a 14g 3/8" barbell with 4mm balls. It's tiny, just like my nipple :]. I would wait before changing it that soon though. Sometimes it takes 6 months to heal. So don't change yours as soon as I did.
It is a beautiful piercing. My nipple is constantly erect, more sensitive, even a bit larger so it's a perfect match with my left nipple now. My boyfriend ended up liking it. I wouldn't let him touch it till recently though because I didn't want any kind of infection.
Well last night I decided to get the other one done. My friend Katy came with me and she was going to do hers but she punked out. The process was the same even with the same piercer. It hurt maybe even more though.
The story gets sad after this but I get home, take a shower, and the piercing is just awkward. He pierced a little more than my nipple and it was at a slight angle. I don't blame him at all though. That nipple is just awkward. Ha. I continued to look down at it then look at it in the mirror and I just decided my nipple was beautiful the way it was. I actually liked that nipple, why the hell did I go a pierce it? So I got some of my dad's tools, took out the bead, hoped in the shower, cleaned the ring and took it out. Blood went everywhere and I felt a wave of nausea because it's not every day my nipple bleeds profusely. I felt stupid. What a waste of money and pain when my nipple was beautiful the way it was. Oh well, we all make mistakes. I'm glad it only took me about 2 hours to realize what a stupid mistake it was. Now I don't have to deal with a scar.
So my nipple experiences were good and bad. My advice is, if you know you want it, and it's done right, it really is beautiful. Don't pierce your nipples though if you like them the way they are. Honestly, don't do that to your body. It's money, scars, risk of infections, time and it's not worth it if you liked them in the first place because chances are they will never be the same. I really didn't like my right nipple, and I love it now. It wasn't any trouble. Getting it pierced was still a good idea if you ask me but I should have stopped there. No more piercings for me :].
