Getting both nipples pierces was the first body mod I've done. I'm a laidback and peace loving guy with a desk job in corporate America and most people are shocked to see me with piercing. After seeing a few piercing at burningman and a couple other festivals it was something I had to try. Didn't do it for the aesthetic value just to make a statement of independence and it ended up being quite empowering. Know that many people in my life would pressure my to conform to other norm and resisting that pressure is a great feeling and it has freed me in many aspects of life. . Other thing to note is the reaction of some people once I take of my shirt. People are either pleasantly surprised or feel shocked and distant since they didn't see that coming and don't know what else they are not privy to.

Everyone at Fatty's was pleasant and helpful. The facility was clean and comfortable. Jason was pleasant calm and profession. His presence and patience was very reassuring for a first timer. I recommend both Jason and Fatty's.

Went in had a chat with Jason about healing, jewellery, travelling and swimming to confirm what I read online. After that picked out two 12 gauge circular barbells and went back to the studio in the back. After a little cleaning we did one and then a minute later the other. Three was about three seconds of acute pain, just about long enough to say aaah. Second one hurt more especially putting in the barbell after. But the pain was quick enough I'd go through it again. Be prepared for the pain, I read quite a few reports of no or little pain in my case there was major pain for a few moments. The first few days were a bit painful too. I was a bit light-headed walking home but I wouldn't say there was a huge high.

The next couple days I wish I stayed home grimacing as I put on my winter jacket brought a lot of questions which I didn't want to answer at times. Walking through crowded spaces and brushing people hurt a bit too. The first few times I cleaned or showered was also a bit of pain. It's completely worth it, and it's easy to sacrifice when you believe in what you are doing. The pain is a good reminder of good thing you did for yourself, almost like being sore after a workout.

It's been three months the best thing about my piercing is the liberating feeling, there is a new confidence and a mischievous smile as I walk through life now. Another good thing is that the girls that like them really dig a lot. The worst part is the cleaning regime. Getting up a little earlier to soak before work and then soaking at home before bed gets old after about a month. I'm a very active guy and it has stopped me from getting up and playing football and soccer on a whim for fear of ripping them out. Can't say that the sensitivity has increased yet but it feels good when they are played with so I'm cool with that. Haven't experience more than two drop of blood in the last three months, just crusting. The crusting seems to be the most irritating thing to my body. If I take long showers and get rid of them I feel pretty good. Occasionally I'll sleep on my side and push on pull on them too hard but apart from that no probs. Might sounds like I'm down on them I'm not I smile every time I think about the piercing.

If I had to do it again (I definitely would), would perhaps chose a warmer day though I believe the new 12 gauge barbells was what was really make my nipples so erect not the chill. Sleeping the first night on my back wasn't a problem the pain subsided once I stayed still for a bit. Would get all the supplies saline solution (preservative free), t-shirt or a-shirts, clean soaking cup, gentle antiseptic soap before and have them readily available. Most drug stores carry the preservative free saline solution in the contact lens section in case you don't want to be boiling water twice a day for the first few months. I also used the tiny plastic cubs they sell in the supermarket for "jello shots" god knows what else you would do with these tiny plastic cups. The little cups are great for soaking which is my new favourite pastime. Carrying some good tunes to listen to really calmed me and put me in the right mindset. It's not a simple as getting a needle push through a few layers of your skin it a few months commitment. I love them, I simply love my nipple piercings and I'm so happy I listening to the little voice that was suggesting I do some thing a little crazy.
