I have been planning on getting my nipples pierced for a long time. With all of my piercing I tend to do some research and then make a decision to go get them done. So this wasn't any different. I have five other piercings.

She said that she had a lot of trouble with pain and crusties when she had hears done. She said to this day that she has some bad days. This made me a bit concerned but then every body is different. I haven't had any problems with my other piercings healing.
Each time I get pierced I feel a little bit more of a calm come over me. I have been learning more and more about myself the last few years that I have been pierced. Almost spiritual in a way. My way of connecting.
I was out one night with a few friends and picked a date to go in and have them done. Right away I could feel my nerves act up. I am generally really, really nervous before I get anything done. Figure that it is a normal part of the process. A few friends thought I was crazy but then they don't know how much I really love the world of modification.
So the day arrived and I emailed a good friend and told her to join me at Dead Rockstar after work. She was wondering what I was going to have done. She knew that I wanted to do this and wasn't sure if I would get it done or not. I have had most of my other piercings done at Dead Rockstar and trust them. They have a great shop and the people are nice. Chuck always does a good job.
We went in and there was a girl ahead of me getting her paperwork done. I told them what I wanted and started my paperwork. Since I have been there before I knew the steps. I picked out some barbells and started to wait.
I was so nervous at the time. My friend was just about as nervous as I was and she wasn't even getting anything done. Amazingly, as we waited and waited I became calm and collected. The girl before me took forever. I remember when I started, I would get so sick afterward, and I would almost pass out. I figured that was probably it. Finally she came out and it was my turn.
We went into the room and closed the door. Chuck had already prepped a bit and we chatted a little. I needed a bit of conversation to feel comfortable with him again, haven't been there in a while. Once he was ready, I slipped my tank top off and pulled my bra down to my waist. He started to mark me and clean me up and we continued to talk through all of that. Then he asked if I wanted to be told what was going to happen or to just do it and I said just do it. And then the left side was done. Wasn't as bad as I anticipated... just had to breathe through it and it was done. Then he moved to the right side and I said that I had read that sometimes the second one hurts more. He said he has heard that too but everyone is different. As soon as I took my next deep breathe the second one was done. Just two deep breathes and very little pain and I had my nipples pierced.
After checking them out a bit, I redressed and thanked him, making sure to leave a tip. And I was off. My friend wanted to see them since she was not able to be in the room with me. We ran to her house and she said that they looked perfect.
The first few days afterward, I took it easy. They were both bleeding a bit and tender. Not specifically painful though. I cleaned them 3 times a day and did my best to keep the crusties off. Within a few days, they looked a bit black and blue right by the holes on either side of the barbell. After the first week, they looked much better. Week two began and I have no pain at all but depending on what I do they still seem to be just a bit tender.
It has been just about 3 weeks now and I am back to 100% normal activities. I jog 3 miles every day so it was nice to be able to jog again. And I love them. It was a great piercing to get. Very little pain or discomfort, no problems with proper care.
