So, like everyone else that writes experiences, I too was bit by the piercing bug. I went down to visit a friend of mine from High School and I decided to get my nipples pierced. These would be my first piercings that were not in my ears, so I was very excited.

I went down to visit my friend and I told her that I wanted to get my nipples pierced and she said she knew a great place that a friend of hers goes to all the time. I little hole in the wall place, which I can't even remember the name of. Later that night I met this friend of hers to talk about the piercing place and she said they were good, but "she was mad at them right now." I asked why and she said because they messed up on one of her piercings. That should have been my first clue. But I was just so excited, and I didn't want to wait until I got home.

The next day I go to the parlor and tell girl I want my nipples pierced. She says $70, I give her the money and she brings in the back room. Then she closed this little curtain, which was pretty close to transparent, to make me feel more comfortable, which didn't make me any more comfortable then if she would have just left it open. And another thing that made me a little worried was the fact that there were like two little boys running around, I don't really want to take my shirt off will little boys running around. One had peaked his little head in before I took my shirt of and she yelled at him to get out. I just hoped he didn't do that when I had my shirt off. I don't know why but these little things didn't tip me off that maybe I shouldn't get my nipples pierced here.

I take off my shirt and lay down for her to mark my nipples, make sure they're parallel, and they were. I laid back down for her to clamp my nipple and stuck the first needle through. It did not hurt as bad as I thought it would. Really, I don't remember it hurting it at all. She pierced the other nipple before she tried putting the balls on the hoops I got put in. The only problem was that she was shaking so badly that she couldn't get them on. Eventually I had to go wash my hands really well so I could help hold the hoop so she could get the ball on. Then she put gauze on them so my bra wouldn't aggravate them, and later that night I went out and they were fine.

Then a couple of months pass by and everything is going fine until I get this little blister thing on my left nipple, near the inside hole. I freaked out and went to my regular piercer near my home town. He looked at it and said that there was a bacteria growing, causing this blister thing, and that I should wait for it to heal up and then take the piercing out. He also noticed that the piercer pierced too far down on my nipple and that it was really going to stay very well that way. So I took it out a week after that and waiting another six months to get it pierced again. This time I got it pierced by my regular guy, and it came out just fine. He did the same thing as the other girl, but he showed me where I have scare tissue from the first time, and how he was going to have to try and go around it. I did notice the difference between how he was piercing then how the other girl did, and I felt a lot more comfortable. Now both are pretty healed, although the left one still has some time left.

My advice to people is to go to a shop where they know the people. It was not smart of me to just go to a random place, where I didn't know they're cleaning process, or even who the people are. Also, I think if you go to the same person all the time you get to have a better relationship with that person, and they will get to know what you like and what you don't it regards to piercing. I have one person that I go to for all my piercing and tattoos needs and I wouldn't have it any other way. I don't ever want to go to another shop, because this experience was so negative in this respect. Also important is to listen to other people's experiences. If a piercing didn't work out for them, and you knew they took care of it right, then there is probably something wrong with the piercer.
