Hiya and welcome to my nipple piercing experience.
At A Glance Author lol Contact lol@bme.anon When A week ago Artist i'm not good with names :S sorry Studio Public Image Location Kirkcaldy, Scotland Well, I got my nipple pierced just over a week ago and, even if I do say so myself, it looks excellent. Right anyway, enough adoring myself.
So on the 26th October 2005 I got my nipple pierced at Public Image at 11:05 am. So precise. I was originally gonna get my nipple pierced on Halloween Monday, but I had college and was afraid I would nearly pass out again (tongue) so meh, woulda been good though. Anyways, I was extremely nervous, because I was supposed to get it done straight after we left BB's (our café` haunt) where we usually have hot chocolate with marshmallows to wake us all up. Again, back to the piercing, so my friends and my (now ex) boyfriend daundered along the street to the arcade only then realising how daunting the alleyway looks. It's like "sit here while I go get the rusty nail..." but Public Image is NOT like that at all, it's pretty small, but in a good way. And the two women who run it are the nicest people alive.
So me and my 5 or so friends all squeezed in and my ex and I went into the little room at the back after I filled in my details in their piercing book. I was told exactly what she was gonna do, how she was gonna pierce my nipple and what all the tools she was gonna use were called. (She also asked my ex if he had ever seen a boob before, lol!) I was asked to remove my top so I did, then she marked two dots where the ring was gonna go, showed me and I agreed. Cleaned my nipple with a little disinfectant wipe then the freeze sprayed it (helps Oh My God so much) I joke, "just keep going with it" she laughed, but then said that frostbite can occur if you use too much, funnily enough I didn't joke anymore after that.
The actual clamp is supposed to be the worst part, but it wasn't bad at all the she got out the needle, told me to breathe in and when she counted to 3 breathe out again, I did so and in went the needle. I didn't feel pain; I would just relate it to having your nipple pinched (because I did that when I first thought about getting it done, imagining that that would be the clamp pain.) And the needle came out the other side, no problem. At that point I was asked whether I would like a BCR or barbell. BCR without a doubt nicer looking and just suits the piercing. (I think anyway) The worst part of the piercing is the feeling of the hollow needle being pulled out, it just 'drags' on your skin, not pain just a weird feeling, quite funny really. You'd know it if you've had your tongue done or lip or something (tongue done, so I know that feeling too : D)
A plaster was put on it after I admired myself first, ex admiring me too ; P then put my top back on, then my shirt. I was given 5 mins to relax, given an aftercare sheet and a bottle of ear cleaner (I wondered too, but it works). So I sat there for a few minutes got up and went outside, to the stunned faces of everyone else, I couldn't help but grin at everyone. I paid my £20, chatted to the women at the counter about general things and left feeling very happy about what I had just achieved.
After that my friends and I all went up to Ian's for the 'banter' of it all, whereupon I took the plaster off to have a good look on my own (after 2 hours mind you) Lovely congealed blood over the ring, it looked pretty nonetheless. And, as I had promised, I let two of my friends look. They liked it.
So now a week and a bit on, it's perfect, bleeding has stopped, no pus or any crap appears on it, and it doesn't hurt to twist the ring to clean it w00t!! Word to the wise though, be extremely careful when you brush past someone, you don't realise you have nipples until you hit them off of a person or wall. Again, not pain, it becomes quite a nice feeling actually but still oweee.
And by the way BME helped so much with research on all my piercings, if it wasn't for these guys, I wouldn't have these bits of metal stuck in me, and where would the fun in that be. So thanks for all the help and valuable advice on caring and looking after piercings, as well as what to look for in a piercing studio.
So that's my experience, if you want it, go get it, looks awesome and well, if it makes you feel good, there's no better reason
Thanks for reading, have fun with bod mods
