It was so random when I decided I wanted to get my nipples pierced. My boyfriend and I were together one day and somehow it came up in our conversation. He thought it would be sexy and expressed an interest and so that kind of put the idea into my head. Then I thought about it and well, a week later I found myself in Spiderbite.

No one would ever see me as someone having their nipples pierced just because I'm so quiet and I seem like such a good girl. Well, I'm quiet at my job and stuff but not behind closed doors haha. I think it's fun having them and no one can know unless you tell them or wear a tank top with no bra. I live in those during the summer and I'm still trying to decide if I'll go braless next summer. I don't know if I have enough balls to do that just because I don't really know what my boyfriends family or my family would think. Mine would be a bit shocked at first but I think my boyfriends family would just laugh.
So my boyfriend and I went to Spiderbite and filled out all the paperwork and such and waited in the main room to let my anticipation build up. I knew it was going to hurt a bit but I didn't care, it was just the whole waiting thing that was killing me. Jonah came out and we walked into a piercing booth and slid the door shut. He had done my navel about three years ago back when I needed my Dad's signature. Hmmm, I don't think he would approve of this one. I felt completely comfortable having him do it so I wasn't worried.
I took a seat on this zebra print table/chair thing and got settled. Jonah said, "Now you're getting your nipples pierced right? Because I had a mix-up once and well, when I asked them to take their shirt off they were kind of surprised." I laughed and said there was no mix-up today. I wore a tank top with a built-in bra and so I just rolled it down. I'll admit it was weird for like a few seconds but then I thought about how this was just his job and so I didn't care. It would have been a little weirder if I didn't have my boyfriend with me but he made it clear that he was definitely going in with me. It was definitely a comfort to have him there.
Jonah rubbed a disinfectant onto my nipples, marked the points where the needle would go through and then clamped my left one. It was a little uncomfortable but nothing more. He told me to take a deep breath and as I exhaled he pushed the needle through. It was just like 3 seconds of a burning flash of pain and I let out a little "ah" and I looked down and there was a nice new ring in my nipple. Jonah made sure I was okay and then he clamped the right one. I inhaled and exhaled again and the right nipple definitely hurt more than the first and bled a little. I told him that it hurt more and he said that's always the case but he just didn't want to tell me. Which was probably for the best anyways.
I carefully pulled my tank top back on and thanked him and left grinning ear to ear. They were sore and kind of throbbed for awhile afterwards and that night it seemed like any movement made them throb. But that night I slept in a sports bra and I was actually able to sleep on my stomach. The next day they felt much better and I could even wear my apron at work and they were fine. I knocked them like once or twice and you just have to be careful.
Cleaning them the first day was painful and I don't recommend trying to rotate the jewelry right away. I did that about like three or four days later and you have to make sure to clean ALL the crusties off or it will tear the inside of the piercing. It's been about a month and a half and I have had no problems. The only downside is it's pretty much hands off until they're healed. My boyfriend has mostly followed that rule except for a couple times when he kind of got caught up in the moment. He loves them and he can't wait until they're healed.
I'm very pleased with how it looks and they feel good too J. If your shirt rubs them it's a nice feeling and touching them is even better. The nipple gets hard and tightens around the jewelry...ladies, you'll love it. If anyone told me they were unsure, I would tell them to go for it. You won't regret it, I promise!
