I had wanted to get a piercing since about 6th grade. By the time I was 17, my ears were stretched to a 0g and I had no other piercings. My parents were not supportive at all, so I had to wait until I was 18. I decided on nipple piercings and my best friend surprised me when she agreed to get hers done too.

The place was clean, the people who worked there were informative and friendly and I just overall got a good vibe from the place. So, the day of my 18th birthday, July 24th, my best friend and I hopped into my car and drove to the place. I was excited beyond belief and she was really nervous. We stopped on the way to eat a bagel so we would have something in our stomachs before we got there.
When we got to the studio, the piercer, Mark, helped us pick out the jewelry. He recommended 12g stainless steel CBRs, but could only find one pair. Since neither of us wanted the larger needle, we both decided on 14g CBRs. After signing a bunch of things, paying (it ended up being $70 for the jewelry and the piercing), and listening to aftercare instructions, he took us to a back room and closed the door. The room was really clean and neat with a ton of stickers on the walls and ceiling.
Eva wanted to go first, so she took off her shirt and bra and stood up on a stool so that Mark could draw the dots on her nipples. He cleaned them with iodine and drew the dots. She checked them in the mirror to make sure they were straight and then laid down on her back on the chair. I held her hands and he pierced her. Watching the expression on her face was the hardest part--knowing that I would be next. When he got both done, she stood up and looked in the mirror and was absolutely glowing. She looked really happy and it just made me more excited to be finally getting this done.
Then it was my turn. Honestly the most awkward part of the entire process was taking off my shirt for a complete stranger. It was only weird for a minute, and Mark was really professional. He drew dots and honestly I was too nervous to even really check them. I laid down on the chair and he put a clamp on my right nipple. He lined up the needle and told me to breathe in and out three times. On the third exhale he pushed the needle half way through, told me to take another breathe, release it, and he pushed it the rest of the way out. The pain wasnt terrible, it was the anticipation of the pain that scared me. He put the jewelry in, and that was a little uncomfortable, and then he snapped the ball in. That hurt a lot, but it was still bearable. The second nipple hurt a lot more, and I was more aware of the sound the needle going though made. Mark said that the second one always hurt more because the endorphins from the first one had worn off and now that your body knew what to expect it hurt more. After he wiped them off I stood up and checked them out in the mirror. I was ecstatic. I put my shirt on, tipped him, bought some soap to clean them with, and left.
Leaving the studio I felt like I could do anything, the high from the piercing was awesome. For a while afterwards I had to put the shoulder strap of the seatbelt behind my back when I drove and be careful of hard things hitting my nips. I washed them twice a day, first soaking them in warm water and getting all the crust off and then with soap. The first month or so of washing them stung like a bitch every time, but it definately got better and less painful. Now, three months later, they rarely hurt. I still wash them once a day.
I love how they look, and the piercing has definately made me more aware of my breasts. They are so much more sensitive and its awesome for sex. I like how no one knows about them unless I show them or tell them...it really is a piercing just for me. If I dont wear a bra you can definately see them through my shirt, and although its annoying sometimes, i like it most of the time. I dont have a problem with the rings being visible if a wear a bra. I would recommend this piercing strongly to everyone, the pain isnt bad, and they look beautiful afterwards.
