Hello all I am here to regale you with the story of my nipple piercings. It started about two weeks ago when my fiancée Alex was looking at the fake nipple rings that you clip on to your nipples and I figured my nipple wouldn't work with those because there not necessarily normal. That meaning that my nipple went a bit flat on occasion, not inverted but just flatter instead of sticking out. Which would be useless for clip ons. So I suggested I actually get them done-ish.

We looked at some of the places in London because I was going on a trip to England to see him in a week from Florida. He found this place called ColdSteel. I was a little iffy about the name but then again I was a bit iffy about the whole process. I had only ever had two holes put in each of my ears at little places in the mall where they use those gun things and I have no tattoos or anything. (Yes I am aware of the fact that I suggested the real things and frankly me and my fiancée were both shocked as well.)
Anyway, the more I looked into ColdSteel the more impressed I was. I couldn't find a bad review of them on BME anywhere concerning nipple piercings. I then went in search of their website; which is http://www.coldsteel.co.uk/. I was astounded by there sterilization processes as well as all the training and awards and everything about their store. I figured if I was gonna go through with this I might as well do it with Alex to hold my hand (because I am such a wuss) and at a place like that that I felt I could trust.
The week before I left for England and Alex I was asking a couple of girls at work who I knew had pierced nipple what they thought of them. The first girl I spoke to was really supportive of me getting them done and said she loved hers even though she had issues getting them done by a kid who was training and did one of them wrong and groped her in the process (FYI your nipple does not need to be kept warm through out the piercing process to keep your nipple from 'twisting' any one who says this is just trying to feel you up). The other girl I talked to has had hers for almost a year and a half and still hurt her. And she had really sensitive nipples that now she feels she cant play with because they hurt and shes not a fan of hers. So needless to say I was a tiny bit worried about getting mine done.
I finally arrived in England (after 4 hours in immigration) and the day was upon me to get myself pierced. I had been in England; more specifically Milton Keynes; for about a week. Alex and I got a bus into London and then we took the Underground to Camden. Which if you are ever in London I suggest you go there. I know its made out to be a very goth hang out (especially in my circles of people). However thats not all there is to it if you like flea-marketing or garage sale hunting or just a really cool atmosphere to walk around in its an awesome place to go for a day.
Once we arrived in Camden we walked around a bit looking for ColdSteel and found it pretty easily by the bit sign on the side of the building but the entrance is just a door stuck between two shops. I went upstairs and looked surround a little bit and talked to the guy behind the counter about pricing and such. It comes to £30 a nipple including the titanium bar. He handed us a card and said to go a head and call if i wanted an appointment. I think we could have made one on the spot but I'm guessing we looked a bit nervous. But about 5-10 min after walking out we made the appointment for later that day. I think I was told about 3 times that no alcohol or drugs could be consumed 24 hours before the piercing and they are very strict about that which I liked and they wanted to make sure I ate a good meal before coming in.
If your the nervous type walking around all the shops in Camden helps to clear the mind before you have to go in which I thought was great because about half an hour before I had to go back I was so nervous I was shaking a little. I went back up to ColdSteel and filled out a little form asking about allergies and such and age and they need your ID and then you pick out your rings or bars. I of course picked the dark purple bars because I'd heard that the bars heal a lot faster and nicer that the rings. A women then came down and led me to a room upstairs. She was super nice and was great to talk to because she knew how to take your mind of things and off what she was doing. She had me take of my shirt and bra rubbed something over my nipples for sterilization and then had me stand up and marked on my nipples where the rings would go and had me check them in a mirror. Frankly I had no idea what I was looking for and I trusted her. She had me lay down on the bed her to one side Alex at the other. She explained what she was doing was she was doing it warned me there is a small possibility that my nipple might reject the piercing because they are flat. I closed my eyes as she put the clamp on and got ready to pierce me. She asked me to take a deep breath in and then on the out she would do the piercing. I did as she said and she moved so fast when she put the needle in I was so surprised. I was expecting to cry or yelp or yell fuck or at least have the chance to squeeze Alex's hand but she move so quick it was just a sharp pain in my nipple then it was over. she slid the bar in and then she and Alex switched places. She warned me that a lot of people say that the second one hurts a little bit more than the first but not to expect it to or it definitely will. So I closed my eyes again and tried to relax and the second went just as fast as the first not giving me ant chance to react at all.
She told me to take my time sitting up if I needed to which I really didn't too much. I hoped off the table and checked my self in the mirror. Basically I checked to see if I still had nipples and that there were little purple balls sticking out of em and that was it because they were starting to sting quite a bit. I got my Bra and t-shirt back on as she cleaned and sterilized the table I was on. Which is another great thing about her I think she changed her gloves about 5 times while she was working on me to make sure everything was sterile. She then sat down with me and explained everything I needed to do to keep my self from getting infected on top of the instruction sheet that was given to me when I filled out my paper work before the piercing. She then took me back down stairs and gave me the bottle of cleaning solution and wrote down what I had in my nipple in case I had any problems when I got back to the states and they needed changing out. After I left Alex and I walked around London a bit more going to Buckingham palace (I got to make out in front of the palace :-D ) With out too much pain to my nipples. I'm not saying they were pain free but it was this dull throbbing pain that I kinda got used to.
I had them done Wednesday it is now Friday and the pain is almost gone. If I bump them or go out in the cold sometimes they hurt a little but not much. I've also had more of a chance to look at them and I quite like how they look and my fiancée does as well. If your in the London area and want to get something pierced I highly recommend ColdSteel. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and if I ever want to get anything else done I'll defiantly be going back there.
