I decided to have my nipples pierced after I was done having my kids. Having children seems to affect your breasts, especially if you've nursed. My philosophy has always been, "If you don't like the way the way it looks, decorate it." I decided I'd apply that philosophy to my breasts, which were somewhat smaller from my experience with having children. Damn. Getting a boob job definitely wasn't an option because of money constraints, and the fact that it just wasn't that aesthetically pleasing to me. I love most body modification, but getting completely cut open just isn't my thing. Piercing seemed like the best option for me.

Location Albuquerque, NM I went to Evolution Body Piercing in Albuquerque, NM to have my piercing done by Noah Babcock, a truly gifted freehand piercer. I had found him after doing a lot of research when I first moved to Albuquerque. I only let the most experienced piercers touch my sassy body! There are some pretty sketchy piercers out there. Albuquerque definitely has it's share. I did a lot of calling around to piercing studios and asking people whose piercings I liked. Evolution's staff seemed the most knowledgeable, and people I talked to on the streets whose piercings I liked mentioned Noah at Evolution time and time again.
I knew when I went in to get my piercings that getting your nipples pierced was supposed to hurt, but for me pain and pleasure have always gone hand in hand. I had my nose pierced many years ago at Primal Body Piercing in Eugene, Oregon, and that wasn't such a great experience overall. It hurt a lot to have the actual piercing done. I think the piercer was completely incompetent. It took him what felt like a minute to get the jewelry in after the piercing, but the euphoria I felt after the experience was worth the pain. I was addicted enough after that experience to get a couple tattoos and to want to get more piercings. None of those experiences prepared me for getting an erogenous area pierced! My nipples are pretty sensitive, so I was ready for it to be a pretty painful experience. It was all that and more.
I didn't even think to try to make an appointment at Evolution when I was ready to get my nipples pierced. Luckily everyone just walks in there, so when I got the urge to get my nipples pierced, I just went for it.
When I walked into Evolution, I was impressed, as usual, with their level of cleanliness. That place is cleaner than a doctor's office. Noah put me right at ease with his calm manner, and then had me fill out paperwork and make my selection between rings or barbells. I chose rings. A big mistake for me, but more on that later. Noah then took me back to the piercing room and measured my nipples to see what size of jewelry was appropriate for my nipple size. The wrong jewelry can be a disaster. Then came the fun. Noah had me stand up so he could mark my nipples for piercing. I have good sized nipples so that was easy. He then had me lay down and get ready for piercing number one. No clamping or anything. Just his hand and the needle going through precisely. Deep breath and then exquisite pain and pleasure. Same with number two. It was a beautiful, orgasmic experience. Literally.
Afterwards I was left with an immense feeling of euphoria and didn't remember a word of Noah's aftercare instructions. I was struck with a mild case of the giggles. None of this seemed to phase Noah in the least. He just went on with his instructions and seemed to enjoy my reaction to my experience. Thank goodness they provide you with an aftercare sheet to take home!
Healing my piercings took three months for me. I did the usual sea salt soaks about three times a day. This was very soothing because my nipples were sore. My kids always seemed to find ways to jab into my nipples too, but luckily that didn't seem to affect my healing time. It just hurt like hell. The jewelry I selected for my piercings was rings, like I said, and I definitely wouldn't recommend those for anyone considering this piercing as their beginning jewelry. I got one of my finger rings caught in a nipple ring and ripped my piercing open just as it was almost healed! It was extremely painful and almost took me back to square one with the healing process. I switched over to barbells and had a lot better luck with healing.
Now that my piercings are all healed, my nipples always look slightly erect because of the jewelry. The extra stimulation from the jewelry is a definite bonus too. I am a complete exhibitionist, and I love showing my piercings off. No more being embarrassed about being a member of the itty bitty titty committee!
