My husband and I had always talked about how erotic he would find it if I had my nipples pierced. Usually I'd have had a couple of drinks when I was agreeing to it. He would pull on my nipples and say how lovely it would be if I had pierced nipples so that he could have something secret of his own to enjoy on me. I do not have any piercings other than my ears and would never consider a tattoo. I got excited about the idea of piercing too and looked it up on the internet and found some pictures of them which I thought were really attractive. On Saturday he took our daughter out for the day so I thought that if I was ever going to have it done it should be now. I had been drinking the night before so I think I was still a little under the influence but that was not a bad thing because I think that it helped with the pain somewhat! In general though I think that alcohol can actually make the piercing bleed a bit more because it thins the blood so I would not advise drinking before a piercing.

I went in and was greeted by Natalie who explained everything to me and got me to sign a contract and gave me a leaflet about how to care for the piercings. She also sold me some Savlon antiseptic wash. There as a chemist a few doors down so I got some cotton buds too. There was a seperate room for the piercings and they just called us through one by one with no appointments. I sat on a dentist type chair and the guy asked me to pull up my top. I had not worn a bra so it would be easier and this was the best thing to do. He made 2 dots either side of my nipple and then the piercing took about 2 seconds. I had chosen the barbells because it was recommended that I have these to begin with because it helped the wound to heal better. The piercer explained to me that he was going to use barbells a little larger than I would normally need to allow for any swelling. I asked him when I could change it and he said that it would take a few months to heal. I could then come back and get smaller barbells or some rings or even some jewels which I really liked the sound of.
It was sore for those 2 seconds and then was absolutely fine. There was no blood and I was so relieved that it was not painful. After it was done my piercer said to me "so is this the start of you going on a long piercing journey then". I said "most definitely not" but I can see the attraction to go back and get more done because the experience was very exciting. I wore a jacket over my shirt so that the nipples would not be visible to everyone on the bus on the way home.
I almost skipped out of the shop and am so proud of them. I would recommend it to anyone. I bought some breast pads (designed for breast feeding mums) to wear in my bra to stop the scabbing rubbing off onto my bra and they're really soft to wear too.
My husband helps me clean them in the evening and he really enjoys it. I am looking forward to when they heal so that I can get rings and a chain between them but still be my secret so that when I'm out being a typical mum I can know that I'm still my husband's sexy thing.
The first day I had to wear a gauze dressing which the piercer put on my held with tape and it did get a bit crusty but I only had to wear that for one day. I have since found that as long as I clean them every morning and evening that they don't hurt at all. I caught one while asleep last night and it was mildly painful so I think I will start to wear a bra at night from now on to stop it being caught on anything.
My nipples did not swell up and they do not stay hard all the time. Every so often I think about my pierced nipples and I get very excited. I am very pleased with my piercing and it is definitely one of the most daring things I have ever done. Most people who know me think I am just a very serious ex secretary or full time mum and would never guess. I like having a secret that only me and my husband know about.
