I got my right nipple pierced as a birthday present from my boy friend, it was pretty sweet as we'd only been dating for about one month. I'd never been all that into nipple piercings, which was funny because my best friend had always wanted hers pierced but she still hasn't gotten them done. Any way, when she told me she wanted them and asked what I thought I said that I personally wouldn't get it done. That set me off though; I had the thought stored in the back of my mind, ready for later. I'd already recently gotten my tongue pierced, as an early birthday present for my self and that had set me off. Piercings are addictive...

Any way, my boyfriend, Pat, had his nipple pierced and when I saw his I realized how hot they look and began thinking more about how I would look with a nipple piercing. I have really small breasts and not much self confidence, so I hoped that by adding some jewelry to my self it would make me look prettier. As it happened, my birthday was coming up and Pat was at a loss of what to get me. He asked me if I wanted a piercing, and who says no to that? The only problem was that I didn't know what I wanted done. Pat was helping me decide what I wanted to get done and he suggested that I get my nipple. I guess they say, the rest is history.

We went to Jap, where I had gotten my tongue done, and where my friend had gotten the majority of her 14 piercings. It was a Wednesday afternoon, which meant that at 5:45 I had my solo dance lesson, which was about 5 minutes walk from the city. My classes ended at 2:25 so I got in to the city at about quarter to three where I met up with Pat. We went and got some food, or at least he did, I was a bit too scared to eat. So we went up to Jap and I asked Jeanette if I could get my nipple pierced today. She said it was fine; she could do it right away. I just filled in the forms and went in to the clinic. In Tasmania you only have to be 16 to get pierced legally, unlike in mainland Australia where you have to be 16, except 18 for nipples.

So I went in to the piercing room with Jeanette. She asked me to take of my t-shirt and bra so she could measure and mark me up. I asked her if I could get a CBR and she said it was fine. She got out all the stuff, needle, ring etc, and told me that it had all been auto-claved so it was all sterilized.

Jeanette really is a great piercer; she knows what she's doing, and how to calm people down. The whole time she was marking me up she was chatting to me, taking my mind off what was about to happen. Once she'd marked me up, she showed me, and as usual it was exactly where I wanted it so we went straight ahead, no need to fix the position or anything. She asked me to lie down straight and relax, and then she put the clamps on... damn they were cold! I had instant nipple freeze, I'm not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing...

Anyway, she told me to take a deep breath in so I did, and she pushed the needle through. It was the weirdest sensation, sort of hard to describe. I guess the best way I could put it is to imagine that the nipple has two core parts, I'm not sure if it does but this is what it felt like, I could feel it going through the outside layer of my nipple, then pop through the hard center then pop out the other soft outside. I don't know, it was weird. Putting the ring through hurt a lot, but I think I was still in that weird state of mind, just after having gotten a piercing where you laugh a lot, so I didn't really notice.

After all that Jeanette did some gentle cleaning and then I was able to go and have a look. It was amazing! I'm so much prouder of my breasts now. Pat certainly liked it a lot, and now he could get me back for all the biting and pulling I did with his...

It's now been about 5 months since I had it done and it's healed so well. I hardly had any pain whilst it was healing and I was able to go to my dance class and dance without a worry only a few hours after I got it pierced. I did all the usual cleaning, sea salt soaks and anti-bacterial soaps 2 to 3 times a day, and I was careful not to bump it.

It's a really great piercing to get, the only annoying thing is guys constantly thinking they're witty by asking me if they can see it. I guess that's what you get. Hehe.
